The birthday cards abound!

I'm back AGAIN tonight with another birthday card, this time for my bestest friend from college who lives in NC.  Her birthday is on Friday, so this will probably get there late.  My mojo had kinda disappeared, but I *think* it's on it's way back!  Here's the card, again a shameless CASE from this card on Pinterest:

Kayln's card was just so cute, I had to CASE it!  I used Spellbinder's petite circles dies, and the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set from The Paper Company, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Super cute and easy to make!  I'd like to try it in other colors, too!  Thanks for looking!

Howdy folks!

I'm back again this evening to share another birthday card for a coworker/friend:

I CASEd this card from THIS ONE on Pinterest.  Of course, all my punches/dies/stamps were different, but otherwise it's a shameless copy.  GREAT layout, and so simple to recreate.  Thank you to natureofcraftythings for the inspiration!  :)  I have a bunch more cards to create for this week, so I better get crackin'!

I just wanted you all to know...

that I'm alive and well!  I've been working a FT and a PT job for the past 8 weeks, so I haven't had any time for blogging.  I've been trying to keep up thru emails, but not succeeding very well.  AND I have some great news:  the place where I've been working FT (thru a temp agency) has offered me a permanent position!  I'm super excited because this is a great company, and I love working there!  I'm ending the PT job this week because I just can't be so tired all the time and focus on my new job.  I think it's the right choice.  In my blogging hiatus, I have made a card for a coworkers birthday:

She said her favorite color is black, so that's what I focused on.  The layout came from THIS card on Pinterest.  I used Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to create the flower, and I colored the ends of the petals with a chocolate scented Crayola marker.  My coworker was lovin' that, I tell ya!  ;)  I also sprayed it with my black homemade shimmer spray.  My coworker was so thrilled with her card that she made a list of cards that she would like me to make for her family and friends for birthdays and Christmas!  :)

Well, it's getting late, and my bed is whispering my name (well, maybe yelling is more approprate!), so I thank you all for having a look.

Take care,

~Marie~

Merry Monday #95

This week, Merry Monday has gone to the animals!  Lesley and her lovely team have asked to see animals on our creations, so here is mine:

I decided to go non-traditional all the way, by using an owl and an orange and purple color scheme, dictated by my mitten paper.

I gotta make this post short, as we have to run to town, so I'm linking this up and hitting the shower!

Take care,

Sweet baby girl!

As promised, I'm back to share the card I made for a coworker who just had a baby girl last Wednseday:

I saw the tutorial for this on Pinterest, but since my pc and Pinterest don't get along very well, I will link directly to the tutorial.  Thank you to Becky Jensen for doing it!  :)  I don't have many circle punches, so I used my Spellbinders instead.  I kept my onesie pretty simple, with some white trim around the neck, arms, and legs, and a wee wittle white bow under the neckline trim.  I used small brads for the "snaps."  The sentiment stamp comes from a Fiskars baby set, stamped in Memento London Fog.  I'm taking this in to work tomorrow for everyone to sign (I hope they all write small!), and then *hopefully* one of my other coworkers will deliver it to the new mommy!

Thanks for stopping by today!

"Text me" at Jingle Belles!

I love those ladies over at Jingle Belles!  Stef and Lauren come up with the cleverest prompts and ways to present them!  :)  This time they want us to focus on "text."  In this day and age, that is something most of us do a lot of!  Here's my card:

I used the thesaurus I bought last year at Goodwill to die cut my beloved Spellbinders poinsettia set.  I cut two of each size to make my flower more full, since the paper is thin.  I used Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn to color the petals and leaves, and added three gold gems in the center.  I used a leftover piece of the burlap I used to make THIS flower as a backing for my poinsettia, and placed a doily half underneath that.  I inked the edges of the kraft card with Tea Dye ink, and the sentiment is from Studio G and stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy.

That's all for this post, but I'll be back in a bit to share a baby card I made for a coworker.  Hope to see you then!

Just a quick little post...

to share this card I made for a coworker who has been sick.

Since this woman (Gwen) was sick when I started, I don't even know her.  My friend Roxanne asked for this card to give to her referencing the "Brown Chicken, Brown Cow" song by Trace Adkins.  I hadn't even heard of it before she asked me for this card, so I looked it up on YouTube.  LOL, Trace sure does have quite the sense of humor!  Roxanne told me that every time a word that rhymed with "brown" would come up in conversation, she would sing the refrain to the song to Gwen.  The inside of the card has digis of a chicken and a cow from Bugaboo cut out of kraft and colored a little bit.  I wanted to make the outside "unsuspecting" to what's inside, so I hope it works!

Anyway, I just wanted to share this before I went to bed.  Goodnight!
