Happy Hump Day! :) 2 more work days until the weekend! WOOHOO! Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE my new job, but having the weekends off is SO NICE for a change! But we didn't come here to talk shop, did we? ;)
I'm here to share with you my 1st official Christmas card for 2015:
I decided to go with a nice monochromatic color scheme, using the snowy postcard stamp I have been dreaming of owning for a good while now! I just couldn't pay the regular price for it...that day- after-Christmas sale at Michael's came to my rescue this time, when the Christmas stamps were 75% off. In my cart it went! SO HAPPY!!
The Spellbinders poinsettia may look planned, but it actually hides a pretty big booboo...I had worked so hard on getting the edges of the panel distressed juuuust right, adding ink in just the right places, running Stickles around the oval in the design...and then I get out my *new* clear glitter Wink of Stella pen. Instead of trying it out on a scrap piece of paper like a *smart* crafter would, I tried to get it started on my image panel...I think you all know where this is going! I was going to scrap it and start over, but my dear daughter Leandra suggested I cover it up instead. I really hated to cover up any of this gorgeous stamp, but one must do what is necessary!
Well, this card is going to be entered into the following challenges:
Merry Monday #142: Houses
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything goes for Christmas
Jingle Belles: Bring in the New
Holly Jolly: Lots of Sparkle (Stickles around the oval and the Wink of Stella you can't see!)
The Glory of Christmas: Non-traditional colors
Crafty Calendar: What's New?
Thanks for stopping by this evening! Take care!

Happy birthday!
To my co worker Michelle! She is ???? years old today, and here is the card I made to give to her:
The decorative card front is my favorite from the Silhouette store. I did modify it some in order to allow more room for the foam layer around the edges. The shaker contains red glitter, red and white sequins, AND pieces of red and silver confetti in the shapes of party hats, presents, and the word "PARTY." So cute! Michelle LOVES cake (who doesn't??), so this sentiment from the Humorous Birthday set from Inkadinkado was PERFECT! :) I've had this stamp set for years, but this is the first that I've inked up this goofy little guy, so that qualifies for Darnell's NBUS challenge:
It runs until the 22nd of January, so there's still time to check it out and join in if you haven't already!
I'll also be adding this to the Winter Wonderland challenge in which they are looking for some metal (the sequins and confetti have some kind of thin metal covering), and they are not necessarily looking for Christmas creations just yet.
That's all for me tonight...just to let you all know, my postings may be a bit sporadic as we are in full kitchen reno mode at the moment. By that, I mean we have NO KITCHEN! We are down to the studs, people! We stocked up on salad fixins and microwave meals, so we aren't going hungry! :)
Thanks for stopping by today, and take care of yourselves and your loved ones!

Cute as a....PENGUIN!
Good evening everyone! I hope you are all having a good week so far...everything is hunky dory here so far! I would like to share these cards with you:
Aren't these adorable? I just purchased this Silhouette file tonight, and HAD to make cards out of it! I used plain old black and white cardstocks, and added some glittered cardstock for the earmuffs and scarves. I also added some Star Dust Stickles to the headband for a bit more sparkle...honestly one can never have enough sparkle on a Christmas card! ;)
Entering these into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland: North or South Pole (polar bear or penguin)
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything goes for Christmas
Holly Jolly: Anything Goes for Christmas
Sparkles Christmas: Blue Christmas (the one with the blue scarf)
Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Channel your inner Elvis...
"I'll have a blue Christmas without you, I'll be so blue thinking about you, decorations of red on a green Christmas tree, won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me..." LOL I'm sure most of us have this song or some other Christmas song going through ours heads often during this time of year. Heck, I bet there are those of us that have Christmas music in our heads 24/7, 365! :)
Anyway, I want to share one of my recent creations with you:
I've been making banners for work for the last 2 weeks, off and on. I'm making a total of 14 for the people I work nearest to, to decorate their work stations a bit for the holidays. I've tried to create one for each person according to their favorite colors, and whether they preferred snowflakes or holly. I wish I had started this task sooner! I have 6 of them completely finished, and all the rest are in different stages of completion. I have to say this is one of my favorites!
I'm adding this to the following challenges:
Completely Christmas: Anything Goes w/a twist, use something with an "S"
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything Goes for Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper: Anything Goes as long as project is covered with patterned paper
Sparkles Christmas: A Blue, blue Christmas
Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes w/a twist, make a gift or decoration for Christmas
Crafty Calendar: It's all about Christmas
Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Season's Greetings
Happy Sunday! I'm back to share another Christmas card:
This was not my original plan for this card, but it still turned out OK. I got some Ranger sticky embossing powder that I used for the sentiment and added a Recollections glitter that best matched the glitter paper. I'll have to try this again with other stamps, as I had some trouble getting this to look right. Speaking of the glitter paper, I used the MS Punch Around the Page snowflake set around the edges. The white layer underneath that is embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Not a very exciting card, really, but it sure does sparkle! :)
I'm adding this card to these challenges:
Winter Wonderland: Let's Get Sentimental
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything Goes for Christmas
Holly Jolly: Color Choice - Monochromatic
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: Getting Ready for Christmas (there's a tiny ornament hanging from the "S" in Season's)
Completely Christmas: Anything goes w/a twist: Embossing (the sentiment is heat embossed, and the white layer underneath the glitter paper is dry embossed)
Thanks for stopping by, and take care!

Silver Bells...
Hello to all my fellow bloggers/card makers! I hope your Saturday went swimmingly! It's COLD here in PA, but Chad and I went to a Christmas parade this morning anyway. Of course, the day also included a visit to Michael's to get some crafty goodies! :)
Anyway onto the purpose of this post...my card:
I think this card came together quicker than any other card I've made in a while! I rearranged the elements of the a2 Christmas bell card Silhouette file, and designed this in Silhouette Studio; first printing the words out, then cutting the bells and mat shape in the Cameo. Su-WEET! I absolutely LOVE everything I can do with the Cameo and the free software! Then I just layered it onto a piece of silver glitter paper from American Crafts, and adhered it all to the 5.5 x 5.5 card base. DONE!
I'm adding this shiny card to the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland: Let's Get Sentimental
Merry Monday #135: Christmas Bells
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything goes for Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge: Getting ready for Christmas
Holly Jolly: Color choice (monochrome)
Crafty Calendar Challenge: All About Christmas
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long: Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by!

Sparkly and Sweet Patches
Good afternoon everyone! I'm back today to share another cutie-pie Stamp Fairy image on a card:
This fella is named Patches, and isn't he holding a HUGE candy cane?? LOL! He's my second favorite bear from Stamp Fairy. The patterned paper is from the Recollections Sugar Plums 6x6 pad, the red glitter paper is from American Crafts, and I used Candy Cane Stickles on the red stripes of the candy cane. I also dabbed a little yellow Stickles on the stars. The sketch is from Papertake Weekly, #78...why did I not find this blog earlier?? Using an already designed sketch makes it so much easier for me!
This card is being added to these other challenges as well:
Papertake Weekly: 2 or 4 legs
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra: Anything Goes for Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge: Keep it flat (able to put thru the mail w/out extra postage)
Sparkles Christmas: Christmas Candy
Cutie Pie Challenge: Festive Furry Friends
Creative Card Crew: Christmas Joy
Thanks for taking the time to stop in...Have a great day, and hug your loved ones!
