It's that time again!

Yep, you guessed it, it's time for the next monthly challenge at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra!  That also means another month of this year has flown by...dang.  Also another year of my life has flown by as my 45th birthday was yesterday.  I spent my day at work, but today is all MINE!!!  Anyway, back to the CHNC Extra challenge...if you join in this month or any month, you have a chance to win:

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

Now how about that for fantastic??  Now onto my DT card:

Being that this is the main challenge, the DT have all used Bugaboo images, and this one is called Wee One Boy Angel - pray.  He's totally cute!  I decided on a one layer card this time, with some simple coloring and some bling in the forms of Stickles and Wink of Stella.  The sentiment is from Papertrey's Signature Christmas.

CHNC Extra Mid month inspiration

Howdy folks!  This will be a quickie post for now, as we are soon heading to the gym.  Here is my card for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra mid month inspiration post:

This card uses George, one of my favorite characters from Stamp Fairy (now closed.)  Not sure why I decided to go with a majorly pink color scheme, but I think it suits him anyway!  Some yellow Stickles on the star, and puffy paint on the snow add some sparkle and texture.  I was going to enter this card into the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown sketch challenge, but I missed it.  {sigh}  Here was the sketch:

Hopefully later, when we get back, I'll be able to enter this card into some other challenges!

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #15 Anything goes or optional Holiday Decorations theme
The Glory of Christmas #80:  Anything goes or optional Re-use/Recycle used Christmas cards

Not my usual forte...

Greetings fellow bloggers!  I'm back tonight to share another Christmas card with you:

As my blog title suggests, this vintage type of card is not my usual "thang," but I COULD NOT RESIST this beautiful vintage Christmas image!  I took some cues from Lady E (her videos are fantastic, check them out!), and really tried to rough things up and distress the heck outta them!  And LAYERS!  Oh so many different layers!  I've got lace, an old hymnal page, a doily, the matted image, and the sentiment panel...and an arrangement of flowers, leaves, flower stem balls (do they have a proper name??), and bits of super glittery foliage.  I added gold Stickles around the edge of the card as well.  I started off by inking thru a snowflake embossability on the card base, but I pretty much covered all that up, hehe!

Challenges:

Jingle Belles:  All bundled up, AKA, lotsa layers!
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #15:  Optional theme of holiday decorations OR anything goes
Glory of Christmas #79:  Optional Jesus is Born theme OR anything goes
Sparkles Christmas #62:  An old fashioned Christmas
CHNC #271:  Vintage or anything goes
Holly Jolly #67:  L is for Lace
Winter Wonderland:  Use some Lace
Crimbo Crackers #101:  Die cuts (Spellbinders scalloped rectangle, and Blossom Five for the flowers)
Christmas Card Challenges #14:  Anything goes OR optional color scheme
Creative Card Crew #108:  Chicks (animal or human), LOL
Crafting for al Seasons #121:  Add some sparkle
Simon Says Wednesday:  Touchy Feely (texture)
Crafting with Friends #15:  Anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #221:  Anything goes
Fussy and Fancy Friday  #158:  Shabby Fun Bingo (I went on the diagonal:  Vintage or cute, Texture, Frills or Lace, Sparkley Mist...I sprayed my flowers with homemade shimmer spray)

Thanks for stopping by this evening!  Take care and God Bless!

Merry Christmas Candy Canes

Holy cow, it's March already!  Where is the year disappearing to??  I wish I could answer that question, but since I can't, how about a Christmas card?

This is my DT card for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra., so of course the image is from Bugaboo.  I suggest you join in on this challenge, especially if you would love to win $21 worth of Bugaboo images!  This is Poppi Xmas Candycane, and as with all the Poppi images, I love him!  I colored him and fussy cut him out, something I rarely do, so I could pop him on the front of this Silhouette Candy cane card cut file.  You can kinda see the Wink of Stella...every time I say that in my head I think "Stella!" ala "A Street Car Named Desire."  I know, I'm weird!  Anyway, I used Wink of Stella all over the red piece, and the white is shimmer cardstock.  The sentiment is Studio G, stamped in Memento Lady Bug ink.  Poppi's hat is sporting some red Stickles on the berries, and white puffy paint on the brim and pompom.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #15:  Anything Christmas or optional Holiday Decorations theme
(I think candy canes fit into that category!)
The Glory of Christmas #79:  Anything Christmas or optional Jesus is born theme
CHNC #270:  Use a sentiment
Holly Jolly #66:  Getting Sentiment-al
Winter Wonderland:  Use a sentiment
Christmas Card Challenges #13:  Anything goes or optional photo inspiration
Card Mania #78:  Spots and/or Stripes
Create and Inspire #40:  Anything goes
Simon Says Wednesday:  Anything goes
Crafting with Friends #15:  Anything goes

Noel

Good Saturday morning!  I hope all is well, wherever you are!  Here is another Christmas card for my stash this year:

I am trying this year to be more conscious about recycling used Christmas cards, so here is one of them.  I even had a couple of my coworkers ask me if I wanted their old cards...couldn't pass that up!  I thought this image of the Holy Family was just so pretty in blue, and perfect to re-use.  The dp is from my favorite 12x12 pad, K & Co's Winter Wonderland.  This paper was the whole reason I got two of these pads several years ago.  I backed every layer with the darkest blue Recollections cardstock I have, and used the Lacey Circles Spellbinders to mat my image and the Papertrey Ink Signature Christmas sentiment.  The "Noel" was stamped in one of my newest Distress Ink acquisitions, Chipped Sapphire, and I edged the white circle with it too.

Challenges:

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up #14:  Anything goes OR optional Winter Wonderland theme
The Glory of Christmas #78:  Anything goes OR Angel or Fairy
CHNC #269:  Cute OR anything goes Christmas  (missed the blue one!)
Holly Jolly #65:  Emboss it   (light blue layer embossed with Darice Vine Pattern folder)
A Snowflake's Promise #16:  Anything goes OR optional Love
Crafty Calendar:  Love is in the air  (this may be a stretch, but what greater gift of love is there?)
Creative Card Crew #106:  Love  (again, this may be a stretch)
CHN Patterned Paper:  Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Recycle/Upcycle
Create and Inspire #39:  Anything goes
Crafting with Friends #14:  Anything goes
Word Art Wednesday #220:  Anything goes
Crafty Sentiments Designs:  Let's get Sentimental

I guess that covers it!  Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy your weekend, and may God richly bless you!  :)

Be Merry, Be Bright

Happy Saturday evening, bloggy people!  I'm back tonight to share another Christmas card:

My image is another of the Bugaboo digis I had printed out, just sitting around waiting for coloration.  This is called Snowman Topper I decided on the mitten dp from the Recollections Whimsy Christmas 12x12 pad, to go with his mittens.  I added yellow Stickles to the star, red to the heart, and there is clear Wink of Stella on his wings (I swear!).  The white snowflakes are iridescent, and came from my stash.  The little blue ones are punch leftovers.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #14:  Anything goes or optional Winter Wonderland theme
Winter Wonderland: Have a heart
Snowflakes Promise #16:  Anything goes or love
CHN Patterned Paper:  Anything using patterned paper
CMC #77:  Add some red
Create and Inspire #39:  Anything goes
Crafty Sentiments:  Dies and/or Punches

Thanks for stopping by!  God Bless!  :)

I Love You!

Greetings fellow bloggers!  I'm back tonight to share with you a card that is not a Christmas card:

I know, I know.  I can't believe I made a non-Christmas card, either!  But I had this adorable Bugaboo image printed out and begging for completion, so what could I do?  I made this card to give to my 15 year-old-DD, as she needed a lift.  I hope it helped!  The layout for this card was inspired by a lovely card I found while checking out the Christmas challenge blogs I follow.  It was made by Sarah at Mallows Crafty Bits, on this post.  I hope she likes my version of her card!  For the sentiment and hearts on the card base, I dug deeeeeeeep into my desk drawer for a bag of confetti I knew was in there.  The confetti has these elements in both silver and red, but I just wanted the red for my card.  I think I need more practice in placing confetti/sequins!  Lemme see if I can find any challenges to link this up to...

Challenges:

Crafty Calendar:  Love is in the Air
The Cutie Pie Challenge #96:  All you need is Cutie Love
CHN Patterned Paper:  Anything with patterned paper
Sweet Stampin' Challenge:  All you need is love
Bugaboo:  Feb. anything goes
Crafting for all Seasons #119:  Love is in the air
Animal Friends #35:  Cats/kittens
Card Mania #77:  Add some red
Simon Says Wednesday:  Have a Heart

Well, I found a few...*wink*

Thanks for stopping by tonight.  Take care and God bless!
