CCAYR Mid Month Inspiration

Howdy folks!  I'm glad you could join me this evening for another Christmas card for 2017.  This is the card I created for the May Christmas Cards All Year Round "Precipitation" theme:

 

 

Of course, I went with some snow, and this adorable Bugaboo Eggbert image.  I chose this gorgeous piece of designer paper from my stash that I have been hoarding...unfortunately, the name of this paper is behind the piece I used on the card, and I didn't write it down, so I can't tell you what it is! :(  I wanted to make this a shaker, but I also didn't want to cover up any of that yummy paper, so I made it a see-thru shaker pocket, using my Fuse tool for the first time.  The card base, the layer beneath the dp, and the shaker circle frame come from Craft Smith 12x12 paper pads in Turquoise and Ocean Blues.  The sentiment comes from the Snow Cool Lawn Fawn set, and is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.  I made a custom mix of sequins from some blues and greens in my stash that I thought matched the papers I used.  Crystal Stickles was added to the snowballs and snowflakes on the image, and Eggbert was colored with a combination of Spectrum Noir and Prismacolor markers.

A couple days late, but here is some CHNC Extra DT inspiration for you!

Hello, fellow bloggers!  It seems I have been gone from here for a long time.  Honestly, I didn't spend a whole lot of time in my craft room (where the desktop computer is) in the month of April, so that's why my CHNC Extra DT post is late.  My apologies!  Here is what you came to see:

 

 

This purple Christmas card uses the Snowman Jingle Bell image from Bugaboo.  I would link to it, but I can't find it in the store.  I had it colored up, sitting on my desk, so I used it for my challenge card.  I needed some sketch inspiration, so I headed over to the Catch The Bug blog and found their current Stella Says Sketch challenge:

 

I love having a sketch to go by, as it takes some of the thinking out of it for me!  LOL  I'm going to check out some other challenges to link this card to, but please make sure you check out the CHNC Extra blog, and make a few cards to add!  You'll be that much closer to having lots of cards for your Christmas card stash!  Also, check out my fellow teamies' creations and leave them some blog love, as they are no less than stellar!  :)

CCAYR Christmas Belles DT Inspiration

Just popping in tonight with a quick share for the Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge blog:

 

 

This month's theme was "flowers," so what better than poinsettias?  I was originally going to use one of my die cuts for this card, but when searching through my papers for something to go with it, I found this great paper with these stunning glittered poinsettias.  I just had to cut some out!  The paper I used on the bottom was from the same Recollections "Believe" pad.  The leaves on this paper were black, so I cut 2 of those out as well, and then used this DYMO label maker sentiment that has been laying on my desk for some time.  Added a piece of ric rac to emphasize the border, and this one was done.

CHNC Extra DT Inspiration...April 1, 2017

The beginning of the 4th month already?!  Time is flying by...yesterday I turned 46.  WTH!  I can't be on the downhill ride toward 50!  I am waaaay too immature to be this old...lol!  Anyhow, I got a lot of birthday wishes, at work, and on FB; and some nice gifts from friends and family.  Overall, it was a good day!  But onto the reason we are here...a Christmas card!  :)

 

 

AAAAAND, it being the beginning of a new month, that means you can find this card, and the cards made by my talented fellow DT members, over at the CHNC Extra challenge blog!  For my card, I used the retired Eggbert Winter image from Bugaboo, and I followed the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

How about some mid-month Christmas inspiration with CHNC Extra?

That's right, you read the title correctly.  I have made something to share for some mid-month inspiration at CHNC Extra.  I hardly EVER get anything done for that, as Hazel makes it optional, but this time, I thought I would be a little different and join in.

 

 

AND, to throw you off some more, I made not one but FOUR cards...HA HA!  So the story is, I had these journaling cards already cut out on my desk for a time when I wanted to create something while lacking some mojo.  That time had come.  So I grabbed these up, went back to the paper pad they came from to search out coordinating papers, and viola!  A little assembly line production procedures, and *BOOM*, 4 more Christmas cards done for the stash.  Incidentally, I lost the cover of the paper pad, but I'm pretty sure it's from MME.  Here are some individual card pics:

 

 

 

 

 

On the top card, I did cover the smaller sentiment area with a Spellbinders Label die and a Momenta sentiment.  All 4 journaling cards are backed by a kraft Spellbinders scalloped rectangle mat, and all card bases are kraft as well.  I used fun foam to add dimension behind the journaling panels.  *CAS love.*

CHNC Extra March DT 2017 Post

It's Tuesday evening bloggers, how are you so far this week?  Things here are going about the same.  OT is still available at work, and I work it most days.  Today was the day for us to get our taxes done, so no OT today.  I'm trying to work as much as I can while it is still available.  But now onto my CHNC Extra DT Christmas card:

 

 

Poppi Xmas Stocking from Bugaboo is front and center on my card for this month, along with a lot of red!  The dp comes from an 8.5x11 paper set called Christmas from Recollections.  I used Spellbinders circle dies to cut and layer Poppi .  Colored with Spectrum Noir and Prismacolor markers.  Star Dust Stickles added to the white parts of the hat and stocking.

Gettin' Sketchy with Paper Play Sketches

Hello and Happy Friday, bloggers!  The weather here in PA today is GLORIOUS!  I don't know if the temps broke any records, but I'm sure we all have a bad case of Spring Fever right about now!  LOL!

 

In direct juxtaposition to today's weather, I have another Christmas card to share with you:

 

 

This one was inspired by the current Paper Play Sketches sketch:

 

 

I don't know what it is about these monochromatic cards I've been making lately, but this is another one for the stash!  I used my brand-spankin' new MFT Polar Bear Pals set for the ADORABLE bear.  Oh how I love this set! EEEEEEEEEE! Every card I saw on the internet made with this set just made me want it more!  I finally found an online store that had it in stock, so I snagged it up!  :)  The designer paper comes from the 12x12 Bright and Jolly pad from Recollections.  The colored card stock comes from the 12x12 Turquoise pad from Craft Smith.  I got a BUNCH of these paper pads at Michael's the last time we went, because they were 75% off.  Can't pass up a deal that good, and it's textured card stock to boot!  I didn't really have much of that before, so now I most certainly do...and in a rainbow of colors!
