Christmas With The Cuties---THE CUTEST SNOWMEN

Hello bloggers!  I hope you are having a good week so far, even though it's only Monday.  At least those of us in the US have a long weekend coming up to look forward to!  :)  For now, let me share with you what I made for the Christmas With The Cuties challenge:  THE CUTEST SNOWMEN.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo, and the image I have used is called Eggbert WinterI just LOVE Eggbert...he is so stinkin' CUTE!  He is definitely one of my favorite Bugaboo characters!  I pulled out card stock colors that matched my patterned paper, and embossed the green layer with the Provo Craft Snowflake embossing folder.  I backed each of my elements with different colors.  Eggbert is colored with alcohol markers to match.  I happened to have a couple of snowflakes in my stash that were cut from some of the same card stock colors, so I added those with some 8mm sugar dots in the centers.  The sentiment comes from Honey Bee Stamps "Merry and Joy" stamp set.  I love all the different ways you can create sentiments with this set.

Challenges:

12 months of Christmas Link Up #44:  ATG or optional "add some greenery" theme
Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional "add sequins" theme
ABC Christmas:  "P" for plain, "Q" for quotes, "R" for rabbits or robins
CHNC #400:  ATG or optional "use a reindeer" theme
Outlawz Twisted Thursday:  ATG or optional "use primary colors" twist

Well, that's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by, and please join us at the Christmas With The Cuties challenge!  We'd love to have you!

Take care and God Bless!

Christmas Crafts All Year Round---August Mid Month Challenge Inspiration

I am behind with my post for the CCAYR August mid-month reminder; sorry about that!  Here is what I made for the hot/warm colors challenge:

I created my panel by smooshing Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink onto my craft mat, and spraying with water.  I then used a small scrap of acetate to pick up the ink and add it to my panel.  When I couldn't do that anymore, I just took the watercolor paper to the ink.  I kinda thought I had created a bloodbath at first, but I decided to plow ahead anyway.  I was much happier with it after I embossed the sentiment, which is a Stamper's Anonymous wood stamp.  I finished this off by adhering it to a red panel that is on top of a white card base, and adding some sequins.

Challenges:

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up #44:  ATG or optional "add some greenery" theme
HLS Christmas challenge:  ATG or optional "use sequins" theme
CHNC #399:  ATG

Thanks for stopping by this evening!  Please be sure to stop by the CCAYR blog to join in on the challenge with us!

God Bless!

August Sasayaki Glitter Challenge: For the Guys!

Hello bloggers!  I hope you are all doing well.  Things here in PA are rainy.  I can't believe how much rain we have gotten this summer!  On the plus side, everything is nice and green...although getting out to mow the grass is a bit difficult!

For today's post, I am here to share what I made for the current Sasayaki Glitter challenge; Male Project:

I used the Christmas Roo image for my cards.  I wanted him to be the star of the show, so I sized him accordingly, and designed the angled edge in my Silhouette program.  I colored the image using alcohol markers, and added some Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen on the bows of the presents.  In case you are wondering, the presents are in those pinks and purples because they are for his girlfriend!  LOL

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #44:  ATG or optional "add some greenery" theme
Mix It Up #16:  ATG or optional "acrylic block stamping" theme
ABC Christmas:  "P" for plain, "Q" for quotes, "R" for robins or rabbits
Fab 'n' Funky #404:  Christmas in July
HIMCR #363:  Any Holiday (Christmas in July)
Simon Says Monday:  Wild Things

Well, that's all for this post.  Thanks for joining me today.  Please check out the Sasayaki Glitter challenge, and join in with your male projects!

God Bless!

Another great challenge at the Christmas With The Cuties blog! :)

Howdy bloggy friends!  I hope you are all doing well on this Tuesday afternoon.  Here in PA, we keep getting rain.  Rain, rain, RAIN!!!  Where we live, we are pretty much OK, but there are other areas that have been hit pretty hard with flooding.  Hershey Park even had to close due to flooding!  It is supposed to taper off by the end of the week...I sure hope so!  I hope all my PA friends are safe and sound!

So, I am here today to share my card for the Christmas With The Cuties challenge:  Add Some Sparkle!

I chose a Bugaboo image for my card, and he can be found in this winter bear mini set.   SO CUTE!!  I colored him using alcohol markers, which I chose based on the green snowflake on the designer paper.  The card stock was also chosen to match that shade.  I decided to use that cute green ribbon from my stash to break up the patterned paper a bit.  On the image panel, I added a punched glitter paper snowflake from my bag o'snowflakes in my drawer, and stuck a sugar dot from love, Nicole in the middle.  Stickles adorns the brim and pompom of the bear's hat, and crystal clear Spectrum Noir shimmer pen is on the snow.  Do you think I have added enough sparkle?  LOL!

Challenges:

I'm going with bling, Bugaboo Christmas image, and sparkle.
Edited to add:  I won some images for this entry!  WOOT, WOOT!

Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional Santa twist

I went down the right side of the board, doing glitter, die cut, and card candi...I assume that covers the gem in the middle of the snowflake.

ABC Christmas:  use "N" for name (personalized card), use "O" for on (skates, seigh, etc.)
Simon Says Wednesday:  Use a die and/or punch

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I need to get this linked up, and head off to bed.  Have a good rest of the week, and God Bless!

Sasayaki Glitter Reminder...Christmas in July! :)

Hello again, bloggy friends!  I am back again today to share with you my card for the Sasayaki Glitter reminder post for our Christmas in July challenge:

The image I used here is called Girl and Puppy in the snow.  Fellow design team member Tracey made her card suing this image first, and when I saw it, I HAD to have her!  I must have also loved her color scheme, because without consciously doing so, I used the same ones!  After I posted my pic to the DT page, I mentally smacked myself on the forehead.  DUH!  I will need to pay better attention next time!

I kept my card simple by printing the image out large enough to be the focal point.  I used Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on the card base before adhering my image panel, and added some Stickles to the snowflakes on the image.  After that was dry, I went through my stash and found these metallic blue and white snowflakes, added dark blue gems to the centers, and this card was done!  :)

Challenges:

Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional "Santa" twist
CHNC #394:  ATG or optional "use a die cut or punch" theme

That's all for today.  Thanks for joining me again!  Please stop by the Sasayaki Glitter challenge blog if you haven't done so already and join in the Christmas in July fun!

Reminder post for CCAYR!

Hello bloggy friends!  I would say "happy Monday," but I don't see much that's happy about any Monday!  LOL!  It is nice and sunny and warm out, so that's a good thing.

Anyway, here is my card for the CCAYR reminder post for our "Tree" challenge:

I had been wanting to make one of these snowflake trees for a long time now, so this challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity.  I have a zippered sandwich bag full of snowflake punches in my stash, and that's where these came from.  If you happen to enlarge the picture, you can see that I punched the snowflakes from textured card stock.  The blings in the middle of the snowflakes are from love, Nicole, which you can get at A. C. Moore.  I love the textured look of these!!  I didn't want to do much else to the card, to let the snowflake tree be the star.  I blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink around the edges of my card base before adhering the panel.  I also used it to stamp the Lawn Fawn sentiment, using my MISTI to ensure great ink coverage.

Challenges:

Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional "Santa" theme
CHNC #394:  ATG or optional "use a punch or die" theme
Simon Monday:  Add a little sparkle

Thanks for joining me today!  Be sure to check out the CCAYR blog if you haven't already, and join in on the fun!  :)

Sasayaki Glitter CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!!

Hey all!  I hope all of my fellow Americans enjoyed their 4th of July yesterday.  My hubby and I had a pretty good day by ourselves.  We did some running around in the morning, and then came home to some wicked thunderstorms.  We had to wait them out before we could grill our burgers.  We marinated some vegetables in a sun dried tomato dressing, and then baked them in the oven.  UGH...SOOO GOOOOOD!!  I wish we ate like that all the time!  LOL!

So, onto why I am here:  It's Christmas in July at the Sasayaki Glitter blog!  That's right, Naz has asked us to break out those Christmas supplies, and create some cards.  Here is what I made:

I figured I might as well print 4 of this cute Winter Kiddles image onto my card stock, and then make 4 cards at the same time.  Why not?  I did these assembly line style, once I figured out what I wanted to do as far as a layout.  Here are pics of the individual cards:

I used coordinating papers from different paper packs in my stash, and backed them with matching card stock colors.  Then I colored the image to match.  I also used the same colored card stock for the scalloped oval behind the image panel.

Challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please stop by the Sasayaki Glitter blog to check out the other design team member's projects, and to join in on the fun!

Take care and God Bless!
