for not-so-pleasant ocassions. The top a sympathy card, and the bottom for someone who needs some encouragement after suffering some debilitating physical set backs. Both use the same sentiment from Inkadinkado...the pink and green one also uses the circular stamp that it comes with. On the green and cream one, the flower comes from a lei, and it was spritzed with a mix of water and pearl metallic paint. After that dried, I inked it lightly with gold to highlight it. Hopefully soon, I will be able to post the birthday cards I have received over the past weeks...today begins the last year of my 30's...I hope it will be a great one! TOODLES!

SSSC60
Here I am with another card from Karen's sketch challenge on her blog. Somehow I missed the one from last week; too bad cuz it was a good one! I still saved it tho, so you might see it sometime! I needed a quickie birthday card for a college friend whose birthday is 10 days before mine...I was late with her card last year, but am determined to be on time this year! If I get it in the mail tomorrow, I should be OK! :) All CS is from The Paper Company...for my white panel, I cut it not quite in half, and embossed one side with the Swiss Dots CB folder, and embossed the other side with a Sizzix folder that has bigger circles on it. I then taped them together before adhering them to my green base. I added a strip of pink ric-rac (love that stuff!) to cover the split. The cupcakes are all from Studio G, stamped in black Stazon, and colored with Crayola markers. I added some sparkle to the top cupcake's sprinkles with a pink glitter Gelly Roll pen. The sentiment is from Hampton Art, and is stamped with Studio G ink. Well, that's all for this post, but I have another quickie birthday card I need to show you, so stick around if ya wanna see it! TOODLES!!
A quickie birthday card...
for one of my co-workers. This one follows the FTL81 again. I used my MS cupcake punch for this one, choosing DP from a K&Co. recycled paper mat pack for the body and brown for the icing...like there is any other flavor than chocolate??? :) I wanted to glitz the icing up a bit, so I added some brown Studio G glitter glue...looks almost good enough to eat! The sentiment comes from an Inkadinkado set, and I used Studio G ink to ink it up. I also went around the edges of the card with the ink pad to disrupt all the "whiteness". As a final touch, I accented the cupcake bases with a white gel pen. Well, that's all for now! I hope you will all come back for my next post...until then, TOODLES!!!

FTL #81
This is my first time making a card using a Fall-To Layout (FTL) sketch, although I do have ALOT of them saved. After my last card-making session, I still wanted to make "just one more", and this fit the bill perfectly! This is FTL#81, and I think I may just have to make a bunch more cards like this! Seriously, you can't get much simpler than this layout, and still have so much impact. Again, I thought this card was too "white", so I opted to sponge the edges. Hopefully soon, I will have time to sit and create more cards using this layout. Only having one day off for the week really STINKS! LOL Until next time, TOODLES!
A little Phindy phor ya...
LOL! This is my first time using a Phindy image...I think I was a little intimidated to color one at first, since they are so durn good! This one was calling to me though, so I took the plunge. This Phindy image is called "Cheep Cheep". I colored it with Crayola markers, and sponged blue and green ink around the image while still in the Nestie. I chose Labels 3 for the matting, and added some light blue gems to each corner. I was feeling "glittery" at the time, so decided to use some glitter sprinkled over double sided tape. The sentiment is from The Paper Company. After all that was done, I looked at the card and decided it was too "white", so sponged some ink around the edges...much better! I'll be back in a bit with another card for ya...in the mean time...TOODLES!

Do you feel lucky.....
today? Even if you're not, hop on over to Dustin's challenge blog (just click on Sir Prize over on my sidebar), and enter his 5th challenge! It's all about St.Patrick's Day, or feeling lucky. Of course you need to use one of Dustin's images, but he is so generous with his freebies, that shouldn't be a problem! I chose this happy looking fella...but who wouldn't be happy with so much gold? Don't mind his skin color, he just came back from vacation, lol! I used my Classic and Scalloped Square Nesties to cut and mat him, and the DP is from the Winter Wonderland pack again. Added some ric-rac along the edge of the paper, and stamped a sentiment from The Paper Company in the bottom right corner. I also used quite a bit of Studio G glitter glue on the image. At the end I decided to make a tiny shamrock, and chose to make him hold it. So, did anyone watch the Top 12 Idol picks tonight? I CAN'T believe that Lilly wasn't picked over Katie.. I mean Katie is a nice girl and all, but I thought Lilly was much better. Anyway, it's late, and I gotta work 6am -2pm tomorrow...so TOODLES!!

Two cards to show you...
that I made a few days ago. After I was done struggling with my CSAYL shades of pink card in this post, I was still in the Christmas card-making mood, so I went with it. I did the gray/silver one first, which I know is hard to see, but is pretty and sparkle-y IRL. The red one came second, and took me a little longer to put together, just cuz I wanted to make sure the reds matched well! Both images come from the Holiday Filigree set from Inkadinkado. I did add some dimensional paint to Santa's pouf on the end of his hat. The DP on the Santa card is from the Winter Wonderland pad from K and Co. Such a yummy pad, I bought two of them at the time...though it helped that they were buy one get one free! teehee! Anyway, I hope everyone's evening is going well...thanks for looking! TOODLES!!
Check out this BLOG CANDY!
For those of us out there who are Studio G fans (like me!), this candy is super yummy! Here is where you can find out more about this yumminess! All ya gotta do is sign up to follow some blogs, and leave some comments on Alicia's blog...easy peasy! Hurry though...this only lasts until March 14th! TOODLES!!!

CSAYL#42
One of my favorite challenges is back! Actually it was back last week, but I didn't get around to participating in that one...better late than never, right? CSAYL stands for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, and the challenge can be found here. Lemme tell ya, this card gave me fits! Not that I have any problems using pink on a Christmas card, but mostly or all pink?? So I had to pull out several shades of pink CS, and sort thru all my DP to find something that would go with one of them. After making those decisions, I then chose to run some of the same CS thru the snowflake folder in the CB, and tried to highlight the embossing with ink...not sure if that worked very well! The stamp is from Inkadinkado (Warm Holiday Wishes), and I cut it out and matted it using circle Nesties. I wanted to use a snowflake on the card, but after I punched it out, I thought to cut it apart and put the 6 pieces around my image instead. I inked the edges first, so they wouldn't be so "white". Added my little tag, and finally it was done. {whew!} If you get a chance, pop on over to the CSAYL blog and see the DT samples, and what others have made! Until next time...TOODLES!!!
