CHRISTMAS CRAFTS ALL YEAR ROUND--DECEMBER 2018

Hello all!  I'm popping in quickly today to share the card I made for the CHRISTMAS CRAFTS ALL YEAR ROUND using some ADORABLE Bugaboo snowman images that I put together to make one image:

These fellas come from the Goofy Snowmen set, which I think is just super CUTE!  I HAD to pair these 2 together on one card because of the comical reactions they are having to the birds that have landed on them.  Teehee!

I colored the merged images with alcohol markers, and added some Stickles to the snowmen and snow.  I paired the images with the adorably cute sentiment from the Winter Sparrows Lawn Fawn mini set.  I couldn't have found a better sentiment to go with this comical duo!  LOL

Challenges:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper (it's barely visible beneath my large image layer, but it is there!)
The Cutie Pie challenge #130:  Add a little sparkle
Papercraft Challenges #27:  Merry Christmas

My apologies for getting this posted so late...work has been tough lately, with all the OT we have been working these past several weeks.  There just hasn't been much time to get into the craft room or on the computer.

Happy New Year to you all!  God Bless!  :)

Christmas With The Cuties, DECEMBER 2018

Hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!  I hope you are all doing well.  All is going fairly well in our neck of the woods.  My job is super busy at the moment, and we have worked every day this past week to try and get things caught up.  I am hoping that this will make things easier closer to Christmas time, when we will want to spend time with our families.

Anyway, I'm here to share with you what I created for the current Christmas With The Cuties challenge, which is "Anything But a Card."

I took the easy route, and made a tag.  Our sponsor for this challenge is

and I used the Welcome Christmas digi.  I absolutely LOVE this guy!  His face is so sweet, and I love how happy he is!  I used a Tim Holtz die to cut my tag from some kraft card stock, and also from a piece of plaid patterned paper (say that 3 times fast!) from the "Say Freeze" 12x12 paper pad.  I colored the image with alcohol markers, and used a white gel pen to add texture to the green areas.  The die cut "merry" is from a Recollections stamp and die set (love those!), which I also cut from fun foam.  I colored it to match the image, and finished things off by adding some Crystal Stickles.  The snowflakes come from the same stamp and die set, and they got some pearls added to the centers.

I have to admit, I really have no use for tags, so I did add this one to a card:

I used another patterned paper from the same pad, and covered the card front with an ivory panel.

Challenges:

Cutie Pie #129:  Winter Layers
Catch the Bug:  Awkward Holiday Chaos Day 1...Snow
Hiding in my Craft Room #381:  Christmas Colors
Sweet Stampin':  Snowmen and Snowladies
CHNC #414:  ATG or optional "use a sticker" theme
Crafty Calendar:  Christmas
Papercraft Challenges #25:   Lots of dimension

Ok folks, it's late, and I gotta get to bed.  Thanks for stopping by, and please also visit us over at the Christmas With The Cuties blog!

Thank you, and God Bless!

Sasayaki Glitter Reminder post, NOVEMBER 2018

Hello all!  I hope you are all doing well.  We had one HECK of a snow storm two Thursdays ago, which made it very treacherous to drive home.  I have to drive over a couple of mountains to get to and from work, and I definitely needed an alcoholic drink when I finally did get home!  LOL!

Anyway, I am here to share my card with you for the Sasayaki Glitter November reminder post, and here it is:

I decided I wanted to make my reminder card using an image and sentiment from the *NEW* clear stamp set that is available in the Sasayaki Glitter Etsy shop here.  This is Naz's first foray into clear stamps, and they were so easy to stamp!  I colored the image up with alcohol markers, with the aim of matching the peachy patterned paper.  In the end, I think I should have gone a different route, as her dress and tights look the same as her skin!  Live and learn!

Challenges:

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
LTCCB #28:  ATG
Happy Little Stampers:  ATG with dies
MIUCB #19:  ATG or option to use an aperture
Crafting by Designs:  Something Sweet
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday:  ATG with optional "plaid" twist

Thanks for joining me today, and please stop by the Sasayaki Glitter challenge blog to join in on the current challenge!

God Bless!

Christmas Crafts All Year Round Mid Month November DT Post

Hello, friends!  Welcome to my blog today!  I am here to share with you what I made for the current CCAYR challenge to use Gingerbread:

I had printed out this cutie patootie Bugaboo image (which I can't find in the store ATM) when I created a bunch of digi stamp sheets for some projects.  This little ginger girl is adorable!  I knew that I wanted to use my 12x12 Mrs.Claus's Kitchen DCWV paper pad with this image, and when I leafed through it, I discovered this page full of recipe cards, one of which was this one.  PERFECT!!  I matted it on a brown cardstock from my stash, and then tried to figure out what size card to put it on.  The standard 4.25 x 5.5 was too small, so I tried my other go-to size, 5.5 x 5.5.  Still too small.  So I dug out a business envelope, measured it, and made a card to fit.  I used the same brown cardstock to cover the card front, and inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.  It kinda reminds me of the edges of a baked gingerbread cookie!  I decided that the edge of the image circle needed some color as well, so it got the same treatment.
The card looked a bit plain, so I added some white dash lines around the edges, using my ruler to keep them straight.  I adhered the image to the recipe, and then popped up the whole thing with fun foam, at a small angle.  Ginger girl's cheeks also got some white dots.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #47:  ATG or optional "All Tied Up" theme
Catch the Bug November Theme:  Something Yummy
Winter Wonderland:  What You Love to do at Christmas (bake cookies)
Crafty Sentiments:  Christmas
Jingle Belles:  Bring us some Figgy Pudding (aka. FOOD)

Well, I guess that's all for tonight.  Thanks for stopping by my blog, and be sure to pop over to the CCAYR blog and join us!

Take care, and God Bless!

It's time again for another Sasayaki Glitter Design Team Post!

Hello friends!  I hope you are all doing well this evening.  Things here in the Bingaman household are pretty status quo.  We are gathering up items for Thanksgiving dinner, and I am looking forward to going shopping afterward.  :)  It's a crazy day, for sure!  In the meantime though, here is what I made for the current Sasayaki Glitter challenge theme of "TRAVEL."

With things getting down to the wire as far as making Christmas cards goes, I was really hoping that Naz had an image of Santa's sleigh.  She did, thank goodness!  I had fun coloring this image up in traditional reds and greens, with lots of sparkle added from Stickles and sparkle pens.  I grabbed a piece of patterned paper from my newly acquired Say Freeze 12x12 Recollections pad for the background, and used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Cheery Christmas.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #47:  ATG or optional "All Tied Up" theme
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional CAS twist
ABC Christmas:  "W" for Wishes, and "X" for Xmas (I really hate writing it this way!)
CHNC #410:  ATG or option to use glitter
Winter Wonderland:  Color It

Thanks for dropping by the blog today.  Please be sure to stop on over to the Sasayaki Glitter challenge blog and join in on the fun!  God Bless!

Sasayakit Glitter mid way DT post...LATE AGAIN!

My apologies for being late with this post, but here is what I made for the reminder post at Sasayaki Glitter this month:

I made this card using Snowflake Bunnies.  I tried to make them look fuzzy, since that's what the digi implies, but I think I just succeeded in making them look blurry, LOL!  Anyway, I colored them to match the paper that is from the Winter Whimsy 6x6 love, Nicole paper pad.  The layer beneath the image is a scrap of white I had laying around that I embossed with a Darice snowflake folder, and inked with Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Oxide inks.  After the inking, I splashed some drops of water on and blotted them off after a few seconds.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #46:  ATG or optional gear up for winter theme
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
CHNC #408:  ATG or use sentiment as focal point

Thanks for stopping by again!  Check out the Sasayaki Glitter blog, as there is still time to join in!

God Bless!

Christmas With The Cuties Time Again!

Hello, and welcome!  I hope you are having a good week; mine has been OK so far.  I would like to show you what I made for this month's Christmas With The Cuties theme, which is "Wrap Up Warm."

I used a snowman digi from Crafty Sentiments called "Welcome Christmas".  I just love this guy...he looks so darn happy!  I chose a paper from the Winter Whimsy 6x6 Love, Nicole paper pad, and colored the image to match.  Since this image is pretty simple, I decided to really dress up his scarf by adding white gel pen and clear gel pen dots all over it.  It really sparkles in the light!  The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps "Merry and Joy" set.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #46:  Gear Up for Winter
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional twist to use ribbon
CHNC #408:  ATG or option to make the sentiment the focal point

Thanks for joining me here today.  If you haven't already, please check us out over at Christmas With The Cuties, and join in on the fun!

God Bless!

Christmas Crafts All Year Round, and some Jingle Belles *PINK*

Hey all! I'm here tonight to share this card with you:

Our challenge at CCAYR this month is to use Santa, an elf, or a fairy on our creations.  I had this cutie from Bugaboo printed and die cut, so I colored him up in pinks to go along with the Jingle Belles challenge that Stef and Lauren do every October for breast cancer awareness.  This card came together pretty easily, as I had the scalloped circle and the snowflake already die cut.  This patterned paper is my "go-to" for anything pink for Christmas.  I just cut a pink layer for underneath it, stamped the Lawn Fawn sentiment using my MISTI, and added some sparkle to the snowflake with my Spectrum Noir clear pen.  A gem in the center finishes it off nicely.

Challenges:

Jingle Belles:  PINK Christmas for the cure
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
HLS Christmas:  ATG or optional twist to use ribbon
The Cutie Pie challenge:  Going Girly
The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up #46:  ATG or optional gear up for winter theme
Sparkles Christmas #93:  For the kids
CHNC #407:  ATG or optional theme to use stockings

Thanks for joining me today!  Please visit the CCAYR blog to see what's been created so far, and please join us!  Also, there is still a little bit of time to join in with the Jingle Belles to help move us closer to a cure for breast cancer!

God Bless~

Sasayaki Glitter October Post: Halloween or Harvest

Greetings, fellow bloggers!  Can you believe that it is OCTOBER ALREADY?!?!?  I know that I am somewhat in a state of disbelief that now there are less than 3 months until Christmas!  Are you guys ready?  Have you started your cards/projects yet?  Time is a-tickin'!  In the meantime though, while panic sets in, here is my creation for the Sasayaki Glitter October challenge of Halloween or Harvest:

I think this is dang cute, if I do say so myself!  LOL!  The pumpkin shape is from a Treasure Box Designs cut file called Pumpkin Faces.  It comes with all the layers you need for the pumpkin, as well as 4 fun faces.  I just wanted to use the gourd for my project, as a cute base for these adorable HedgehogsThe original image has a butterfly to the upper left of the momma hedgie, but I just eliminated that for my purposes today.  I used alcohol markers to do my coloring, and used the image on the Etsy site as a reference.  The edges of the pumpkin are all sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink, as well as the edges of my image circle.  I used a scrap of green glitter cardstock for my stem.  The MISTI was used to stamp the sentiment using the same ink.

Challenges:

Animal Friends #67:  Autumn/Halloween
Mix It Up #18:  ATG, and/or Monochrome twist
A Gem of a Challenge #228 (final challenge):  Halloween/Halloween colors
Crafty Gals Corner #175:  Anything FALL Goes
Hiding in My Craft Room #372:  Freestyle (ATG)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Please make some time to stop by the Sasayaki Glitter blog to check out the other DT projects, and to participate with us!  God Bless!

ABC CHRISTMAS -- E IS FOR EMBOSSING, F IS FOR FAUX, G IS FOR GINGERBREAD

Hello crafty friends!  I'm dropping by really quickly to share what I created for this month's ABC Christmas challenge , which is ...
