A digi from Delightful Inspiration

I found this blog, Delightful Inspiration, a few weeks ago while searching for more free digital stamps...what can I say? Free is great! Anyway, the digi's here are very cute, and the owner of the blog, Faith, runs a challenge with her digis. This challenge is unique from others though, in that it is a progressive one...meaning that in order to get the following week's freebie, you must have completed the current week's challenge. Each challenge runs for a month, so if you miss it for a week, you have to wait until the next month to grab the next free-for-all freebie. Neat huh? When I grabbed this image, the challenge was actually already over, but Faith was away from her computer, so I managed to snag it anyway! WOOHOO! I think this is so durn cute! I mean, who doesn't love a cute little bird and a flower? :) A great image that could be used for lots of ocassions! I chose to use the Hi from the Hero Arts Happy Hello set as my sentiment on this one. The DP is from the same piece of paper as I used in my previous post. I used a strip of orange CS put thru the MS loopy edge punch to accent the left side, as well as a square of orange to mat my image. The blue scalloped square is again made from the blue foam. I LOVE this card! It makes me HAPPY! I may just have to keep it! LOL I hope everyone has enjoyed my "catching up" today, and until my next post....TOODLES!!!

Another bright one with an image from Meljen designs

Hi again! This is my second post for today, and I will be posting another before the day is thru, so I hope you will come back! This card was made using this Meljen's digi stamp, Cuppa Tea. Isn't it too cute? I think I should have chosen a different color for the happy little cup, but maybe next time...On this card I also tried to use my MS loopy corner punch around a circle, and I'm not too sure whether I like the process or not. The edges didn't match when I was done (which bothers the HECK outta me!), but I didn't want to waste what I had done, so I used it on the card. The DP is from Miss Elizabeth's (from the Dollar Tree) and is called Fairytale Princess. I distressed the edges of the DP for some interest. Four hot pink cell phone blings in the corners finished this one off. I didn't add a sentiment to the outside; I will add one inside when I go to use the card. I'll probably end up giving it to my DH for our anniversary or something...what do YOU think? Stay tuned for my next post...TOODLES!!

A bright card using an AmyR sketch and a Tiddly Inks image

Hi all! Long time, no blog, huh? I just get so caught up in reading blogs, that I run out of time to post on my own...stupid dial-up anyway! Since I have off work today, I figured I'd get caught up with my own blog for once.
This card sure is bright, isn't it? I'm not sure what was going on last week, as I have two other cards made using really bright colors too. Anyway, my card was made using Amy Rysavy's Friday sketch from last week, and the Tiddly Inks freebie found here. If you like it, you'd better hurry and snag it, because it will be disappearing after today! I couldn't really find any DP in my collection that would go with how I had colored my image, so I just went with using all CS. I tried to add some interest by using the Swiss Dots EF and inking the edges on the white panels under the matted image. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts clear set Happy Hello. The punch on the yellow is by EK Success, but I forget the name of it. Oh yeah, and the blue scalloped oval is cut from foam. I used that on another card from last week too. Fun stuff! And see what my card is sitting on? I have seen alot of bloggers use those to sit their cards on and really liked the idea. When DH and I were at Goodwill last weekend, I found this one on the shelf...and boy was I excited! As you can see, it came home with me! Hee! Well, I have more "catching up" to do, so look for more from me today! TOODLES!!

Dora, Dora, Dora...

the explorer! :) Recently, my friend Heather invited me to her daughter's 3rd birthday party. Heather told me that Lexie LOVES Dora, so of course I HAD to make an appropriate card! I chose bright colors that I thought "matched" Dora's personality. The inside of the card contains coloring pages, so I punched holes thru them all with my Cropadile...let me tell ya, that is one HANDY tool...and tied them together with green, white, and pink ribbons. I used various birthday stamp sets on the balloons, and a set I got at a discount store for her name. Added a little hot pink cell phone gem over the "i" and DONE! I think Lexie liked it, but she is only 3, lol! Until next time, my friends...TOODLES!!

Happy Birthday!

To my (older) brother! Teehee!! He turns 42 tomorrow, and this is the card that is in the mail to him. I had soooo been wanting to try adding my sentiment in segments around my image, and finally I had the chance with this card. My brother's favorite color is red, hence the color scheme...I chose to use my Who Loves You set from Hampton Arts, cuz I think the owls are so cute! I used the small hat to make the background paper. I also used circle and scalloped circle Nesties, a corner rounder, and ink and colored CS from The Paper Company. I hope he likes it, and that you do too! I have another birthday card I will be posting soon...until then, TOODLES!!

A birthday card for the BOSS!

No, not for Bruce Springsteen, my boss! LOL The poor woman is cursed to have her birthday exactly 4 days after mine, so I will NEVER FORGET IT!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This year, it was the big 5-0, so I enlisted the help of some of my co-workers to have a bunch of balloons delivered to work. They were delivered alright...by someone in an old lady costume...who had "lost" her dog...and was holding a sign with his picture on it...and when she would turn around the dog was between her butt cheeks! It was HILARIOUS!!! One of our regular customers was there at the time, and the "old lady" got him involved by asking if he had seen her puppy...and then she turned around...he didn't see it at first, but when he did, he said, "OH, I found it!", and walked out of the store laughing...but he never did say WHERE he found it! Needless to say, my boss was VERY embarassed, and now wants to kill us all! :)
Now, onto the card...all colored CS is The Paper Company, white is Georgia Pacific. Image is from a freebie set Dustin recently gave to all his loyal followers...YEA!!!! You should go check it out, if you haven't already! I colored it with Crayola markers, incorporating one of my boss' favorite colors, purple. I glittered the HECK out of the wings with the only bottle of Stickles I own, which just happened to be purple! Corners are inked with purple Studio G ink, and it's matted with a same-sized square of black CS (my boss' other fav. color!). Simple black ribbon behind that, on the purple base. The four corners are blinged up with self-adhesive gems, and she is done. My boss liked her card this year! :) TOODLES!!
