Chilly winter fun

Happy Monday bloggers!  Stopping by really quickly to share another Christmas card:

I printed this Snowman Skates image off a couple of weeks ago to color.  I spent a few days trying to find an appropriate sentiment, and finally happened upon a set from Studio G that has a bunch of seasonal words for endless combos.  These 3 words are what I thought worked best for the image.  All designer paper is from the MME Merry 6x6 paper pad.

Challenges:

CHNC #296:  Use a sentiment
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #20:  ATG or optional Christmas Confectionery theme
ABC Christmas:  "Q" for quick layout
Cutie Pie #102:  Work, rest or play

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a blessed week!

Rudolph the red-nosed...Rabbit???

Hey folks!  I'm back again tonight with another Christmas card:

This adorable Christmas Bunny topper from the Holly Time set by Sylvia Zet makes for a cute card!  Stef and Lauren at Jingle Belles are asking for cards that are predominantly red...I hope this is enough to qualify!  I used papers from 2 American Crafts 6x6 pads:  Jack Frost and Wish List.  I thought they complimented the pre-colored image quite well.  Distressed all my paper edges with Frayed Burlap distress ink.  Added some Wink of Stella to the white parts of his Santa hat...honest!  Picked out a light blue card stock to mat the image and papers, and this was done.  Oh, and I used the previous Sketch Saturday sketch.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #20:  ATG or optional "Christmas Confectionery" theme
Jingle Belles:  Rudolph the RED-nosed reindeer (use mostly red)
CHNC #294:  Color brown (Frayed Burlap distress ink)
Christmas Card Challenges #36:  ATG or optional "Angels" theme
The Cutie Pie Challenge #102:  Work, Rest or Play
CRAFT Challenge #377:  Christmas
Broken Fairy #8:  ATG or optional "Use your stash" theme

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you all enjoy your weekend, and may God Bless you!  :)

Double duty...

Greetings blogger friends!  As I have been shorter on time lately with the second shift job I was working, I have asked the permission of my wonderful DT bosses, Hazel and Deanne, if I could use one card for my commitments, just for this month.  They agreed, so here is the card:

Over at Christmas Cards All Year Round, we are using bright colors to inspire you this month.  I had this Reindeer - Christmas goodies image on my desk, begging for color, so I figured he would go great with some brighter colors.  My collection of Christmas dp isn't necessarily very bright, but I thought these 2 papers from MME's Merry Little Christmas 6x6 pad were pretty close.  A nice bright blue card stock from my stash compliments it well, I think.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #20:  ATG or optional Christmas confectionery theme
CHNC #294:  Color brown (a little or a lot)
Crimbo Crackers #113:  Blue Christmas theme
Christmas Card Challenges #36:  Optional "Angels" theme or ATG
Simon Wednesday:  Let's Go Wild (reindeer are pretty wild, right?)

Thanks for joining me today!  Make sure you check out the Christmas Cards all Year Round blog and Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra blog for the mid-month posts...I know that both Design Teams have fabulous samples to inspire you!  I gotta run...we have a new movie to watch!

God Bless!

Lovin' the Bugaboo!!

Greetings bloggers, and happy Tuesday!  I'm back again today to share another Christmas card for the ole stash-eroonie:

Isn't this Candy Cane Mouse image from Bugaboo just the cutest?  I decided to use the current Verve sketch to showcase this little guy,
after I had seen some cute Christmas cards in the Jingle Belles gallery, and did an investigation!  :)
The dp comes from the Recollections Sugar Plum 12x12 paper pad.  When I was deciding what strip to put behind the circle element, I was going to use vellum at first, but didn't think it looked right.  I also didn't want to just use a plain strip of the dark red card stock, and I didn't want to emboss it either.  What to do, what to do?  I spied my Wink of Stella brush pen, and I slathered it all over each end of the strip.  There.  Perfect!  I love this card...I may just keep it out for awhile...LOL!

Challenges:

Verve:  Viva La Verve August Sketch 1
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #20:  Optional Christmas Confectionery theme
Jingle Belles:  We Three Kings  (multiples of 3)
CHNC #293:  Vintage or ATG Christmas
Christmas Card Challenges #35:  ATG or optional photo inspiration
Broken Fairy #8:  ATG or optional twist, Use your stash

Thanks for stopping by today, and God bless you!

No Peeking!

Happy Friday bloggers!  I know I'm happy it's Friday, as I have off work, although that will only be for another week yet.  Week after next, I will be returning to work at the job I was laid off from in May.  I will be a temporary employee again, BUT I will be getting paid more per hour than I am now, AND it's day shift.  That's most important to me and my family, that we have what I like to call, a "normal" life.  Working a full-time, second shift job is NOT for me!

Returning to our regularly scheduled programming now, how about a Christmas card?

I was in the mood to use a sketch again, so I decided to participate in 52 {Christmas}Card Throwdown's, Pick a Previous sketch challenge.  I didn't have to go back very far to find one...I used their most recent,  #52, from July:

Of course, the first thing I thought of when seeing the triangular element was "tree."  BUT, I have a few colored Bugaboo images sitting on my desk, and this one (Christmas Mouse Present) fit perfectly.  :)

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #20:  ATG or optional Christmas Confectionery theme
CHNC #292:  ATG Christmas
Simon Says Monday:  Celebrate!
Hiding in my Craft Room #261:  Christmas in July theme
Broken Fairy #7:  ATG with a twist, Embossing (heat or dry) White sentiment is heat embossed

Thanks for stopping by to have a look today...May God bless you!

ABC CHRISTMAS -- E IS FOR EMBOSSING, F IS FOR FAUX, G IS FOR GINGERBREAD

Hello crafty friends!  I'm dropping by really quickly to share what I created for this month's ABC Christmas challenge , which is ...
