BUGABOO FREEBIE FRIDAY - POPPI XMAS PRESENT - WITH RECIPE

Howdy folks, and welcome back to my blog!  Today is the last day of Catch the Bug's Holiday Critter Chaos already.  That was a quick week!  I hope you all had fun seeing what the DT created for the event, and that you were able to join in!   This week's Friday Freebie is Poppi xmas present, and we are to follow a recipe as well:
Keep it SIMPLE with 2 layers and ribbon or twine
Here is my card:

I colored my image using alcohol markers, and was inspired to go green with my design to keep it simple.  I blended Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Oxide inks onto the edges of my embossed panel using the traditional blending tools.  The image was cut using Spellbinders classic ovals, and I cut a mat out of green card stock using the scalloped ovals set.  The same green card stock was used to stamp the sentiment, which comes from CAS-UAL Fridays stamp set called Naughty'isms.  I thought it paired PERFECTLY with this image, as Poppi looks a bit naughty!  LOL  I painstakingly tied the 3 jingle bells to the twine bow (I think this took me the longest to do out of all of it!!), and called this a done deal!

Christmas With the Cuties -- Christmas Cuties!

Hey all, and welcome back to my blog!  It's time again for another Christmas With The Cuties project, and this time we wanna see all of those Christmas cuties that are in your collection!  Here is what I made:

I really don't think it gets much cuter than this, do you?  This is Merry Christmas to Ewe from Bugaboo Stamps.  Isn't that just fabulously punny?  LOL  He's too stinkin' cute with his Santa hat on and that candy cane in his mouth.  I colored this up with alcohol markers, and added some white puffy paint to the hat brim and poof.  The plaid paper is a digital one that a friend made for me a long time ago.  I matted both layers with a dark red card stock from Recollections, and added a light kraft colored piece to the card base.  That's all there is to this one!  This card came together pretty quickly, as I had the image already colored, and the paper was printed out and sitting on my desk.

HOLIDAY CRITTER CHAOS, DAY 2 -- SUNDAY SKETCH

Hello fellow Bugaboo lovers, I'm back again today to share with you what I made for Day 2 of the Holiday Critter Chaos event at the Catch the Bug blog:

As today is Sunday, we are looking for projects to be made following the provided sketch:

So, for my card I used Poppi xmas snowballs and the Purple Blue Winter digital paper pack.  I opted to use only a couple of the blue papers, and the ones that seemed to be "opposites."    Although I really do like the look of the suggested "paper" in the sketch graphic, I thought these would work fine too.  Maybe I should suggest to Jodie about making papers that look like the ones in the graphic.....Hmmmmmm!  LOL!  I colored the image with alcohol markers, and added shimmer with Stickles and a glitter pen.   I layered up 2 different Martha Stewart punched snowflakes, and coated the white one with glitter pen also.  A gem was glued in the middle for some added bling.

BUGABOO HOLIDAY CRITTER CHAOS -- DAY 1

Hello everybody; happy Saturday!  It's Day 1 of Bugaboo's Holiday Critter Chaos event:

Sounds like fun, huh?  This week is going to be full of fun wintry critter cards, and here is my card for today:

.
Bear with me, as I didn't make a list of what I used when I made this card, so I'm going by memory.  LOL  I do know all the card stock came from Recollections.  I'm pretty sure the birch tree patterned paper came from a 12x12 Love Nicole paper pad.  I used a Lacey Circle die from Spellbinders behind the circular image panel, and the punched border on the red panel was made using a Martha Stewart punch.  The embossed sentiment is from Recollections. I used alcohol markers to color the image, which BTW, is called Winter Birds - Snowman.

BUGABOO FREEBIE FRIDAY AT CATCH THE BUG!!

Hey crafty peeps!  It's FRIDAY (yay!), and that means it's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo/Catch the Bug!  Here's what I made using Jodie's offering this week:

Isn't this fella so cute?  The file name is Candy Cane Bear.  I just knew he would go perfectly with this candy cane patterned paper I have!  I colored the image using alcohol markers, and added some sparkle to the hearts on his feet with Stickles.  Also, I added white gel pen to the candy cane, and his eyes and nose for even more detail.

*CHALLENGES*

Will add these later.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!  Please be sure to stop at Catch the Bug to see what the other DT members have made for today, and leave them some love on their blogs!

BUGABOO HUMOR ME WEDNESDAY -- COCOA DAY, DEC 13

Hey all!  How's it going?  It's getting closer to the BIG DAY...are you ready?!  I know we aren't!  Still have some gift cards to buy, and I need to get my cards ready and out the door!  *GASP!*  I know, this is bad!
Speaking of cards, here is the one I made for Humor Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug:

Since Friday is National Cocoa Day, I thought this image from the Snowman Cocoa Set would be perfect for the celebration!  I paired it up with this fantastic glittery cup and mug patterned paper from the 12x12 Mrs. Claus's Kitchen pad from DCVW.  This is one of my all-time favorite paper pads!  Sure makes me wish I had bought more than one of them.  :(

I used green card stock from Recollections to mat the patterned paper and image layers.  The red piece going across behind the image panel is a very subtle red plaid from the same collection.  The image was colored with alcohol markers, and I gave some sparkle to the white parts of his hat with Stickles.  There is also some clear Wink of Stella on the body of the snowman.  The sentiment comes from the Winter Fox Lawn Fawn stamp set.

CHRISTMAS CRAFTS ALL YEAR ROUND -- SANTA!!!

Hey ya'll; how's it going?  I'm here today to let you know that it's December  (WHAT?!?!?!?), and that means a new challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year Round.  This time, we want to see Santa on your projects.  I know at this time of year, we are ALL looking for the Jolly Elf, aren't we?  ;)

I found him!  And he's got a sack full of goodies too!  YAY!  This version of Santa is oldworldsanta6 from Bugaboo, but I can't find him in the store ATM.  I just love the look of this image, with his big flowing coat!  I colored him using my alcohol markers in traditional red and green shades, and for the white parts of his coat and hat, I added Stickles.  His beard was given some shading using very light warm gray markers.  I don't remember the paper pad the patterned paper comes from (sorry!), but the card stock is all Recollections.  The sentiment is from Christmas Sentiments 1 from Sizzix.  I cut each word 4 times and glued them together for added dimension.  The top layer was coated with the same Stickles that I used on the image.  This card is super sparkly in real life, but of course the photo shows none of it.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES -- SANTA HATS, AND CRAFTY SENTIMENTS!!

Hey all, how's it goin?  Things here are fairly OK.  My hubby and I did some straightening up around the house today in preparation for the Thanksgiving meal (we host).  He also worked on finishing getting the outside lights up and running.  My daughter is sick, so she has been quarantined in her room all day, resting and not touching things!  We stocked up on Clorox wipes and Lysol yesterday, as we are afraid that we will get sick and ruin Thanksgiving!

All that aside, I am here because I want to share with you the card I made for the current challenge at Christmas With The Cuties, where we are showing off our Santa hats!

This Crafty Sentiments image is called Let It SnowGranted this cutie's hat doesn't look much like a Santa hat, but this was the provided image that I wanted to work with.  I chose a paper from a Recollections 12x12 paper pad called Fa La La La, and colored my image to match.  The green cardstock layers are also from Recollections.  I decided to mix it up a bit this time, and use a Spellbinders scalloped square die to mat my circular image panel.  I mixed it up even more by rotating it into the diamond position.  I added some details to my alcohol coloring with a white gel pen, some White Blizzard Nuvo drops on the snow, and yellow Stickles on the star.  The sentiment comes from one of the Recollections Christmas sets I picked up at Michael's recently.

IT'S THURSDAY...OLDIE BUT GOODIE DAY @BUGABOO!!

Howdy friends!  I'm back today to share my card for this week's Oldie But Goodie feature on the Catch the Bug blog.  Here it is:

This active fella is called Reindeer - Skate.  Isn't he just the sweetest?  He sure looks like he's having some fun skating, doesn't he?  I printed this guy out pretty large, and decided to back him with this panel made from a thermal laminator packet that has extra fine white glitter sandwiched between the layers.  I got this idea originally from this video by Attic Lane on YouTube, and have just now gotten around to trying it out.  Jennifer McGuire recently did this technique also in this video, and I would encourage you to check both of them out!
So, I colored this fella up using alcohol markers in traditional red and green, and I guess he must be Rudolph since his nose is red!  The sentiment comes from one of the new Recollections Christmas sentiment sets I picked up recently at Michael's.

ABC CHRISTMAS -- E IS FOR EMBOSSING, F IS FOR FAUX, G IS FOR GINGERBREAD

Hello crafty friends!  I'm dropping by really quickly to share what I created for this month's ABC Christmas challenge , which is ...
