Believe...

YAHOO, it's Thursday!  One more day, one more day...lol!  But while it is still today, I would like to share the card I made for the current Merry Monday challenge, where the hostess Wendy has asked for greens, pinecones and the word "believe."

Here is my take on it, which is inspired by a card sample in the Pinecone Spray set from Fred, She Said.  I resized the pine cones in Silhouette to better fit the scale of the card, but I think maybe they coulda been a smidge bigger...
Anyway, the rest is pretty simple, the blue paper is from a digital set called Wild Sorbet by Michelle Coleman, and the Believe is from a Christmas set from Cloud9.  I stamped it in Broken China, and also used that ink to distress the edges of the card.  That's all there is to this one...oh wait, I also used Wink of Stella on the "snowy" parts of the pine cone images.  There, NOW that's all...lol!

I want to add this to these challenges:

Hmmm, that's all I can find this week...thanks for visiting and take care!

Be Jolly!

Happy Saturday!  I hope you all have had a relaxing day...I know I have!  I even managed to fit in a card for the current Jingle Belles challenge, which is a sketch created by the incomparable Stef:

And here is my card:

I colored up this adorable Tiddly Inks Mavis image earlier this week.  I'm glad she didn't have to wait very long to find her home on a card!  I LOVE Mavis...she is SO CUTE!  I used some papers from the Recollections Sugar Plums 6x6 pad again, since it was still on my desk.  The sentiment comes from a Christmas sentiment set made by Momenta.  That's about all there is to this card...nice and simple!

I'm entering Mavis into these challenges:

Winter Wonderland:  Twinkle, twinkle (all sparkly and bright).  The white parts of her hat and dress were coated in diamond Ice Stickles, and the holly berries on her dress were done with a red Gelly Roll glitter pen.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a quickie this evening!

Happy hump day!  I'm here to share a card I finished this evening:

Isn't this just the cutest little doggie?  He is a Tiddly Inks image, and can be found here.  The layout of my card was taken from this card.  The papers are from Recollections Sugar Plums 6x6 pad, and are all matted with kraft card stock.  I used Prismacolor and some Crayola markers to color the image.

Some texture, some trees, and saving some too...

Happy Friday folks!  Here we are at the end of another work week....whew, we made it!  Two days of freedom from the daily grind, and hopefully some time spent relaxing (aka, crafting!).  I would like to share 3 cards I made last evening with you today:

In keeping with tradition, the ladies at Jingle Belles are asking us to reuse and recycle for the next couple of weeks, in celebration of Earth Day on April 22.  All 3 of these cards were made using bought Christmas cards that were sent to our family last season.  Also, the ladies at Holly Jolly are looking for trees on our projects, so I made sure I looked for cards containing said items.  Lastly, Hazel is still asking for some texture, for the next hour or so anyway!  The middle card especially fits the bill here.  Once I had all the images cut down to what I wanted, the rest of the cards just seemed to flow together!  LOVE IT when that happens, which isn't often...lol!

Anyway, here are the links for the challenges I'm entering:

CHNC:  Texture
Holly Jolly:  Trees
Sparkles Christmas challenge:  Use Kraft card (third card base is kraft)
Papertake Weekly:  Words, words, words
Creative Card Crew:  Add a sentiment
12 Months of Christmas:  Anything goes

Thanks for stopping by, and take care!  :)

It's a blizzard!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  One day closer to the weekend!  Tonight I'm sharing this card with you:

Some of the elements may be hard to see due to the all-white theme, but trust me, all that glitter is gorgeous IRL!  I used layers of Recollections white card stock, alternated with white glitter paper.  The scroll-patterned cut out is one of Bird's free cut files, and can be found here.  I so love her generosity of talent!  I had a bit of a difficult time trying to find a font my Cameo would cut without ripping the paper, but this one seemed to do "fairly" well.

I'm entering these challenges:

Winter Wonderland:  White on White
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra for April:  Anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's  Christmas Challenge:  Add some Texture
Papertake Weekly:  Words, words, words
Crafty Calendar:  Add a Sentiment
12 Months of Christmas:  Anything goes w/optional color challenge

Thanks for stopping by my blog today...Take care!

A unique color combo for Christmas...

I never thought I would be using these colors on a Christmas card:

But I did!  Three of them anyway; orange, green and dark teal?  Here's the card:

I've had this cutie pie Whimsie Doodles Snow Angel colored up for longer than I can remember.  I was glad to find the 12 Months of Christmas link up, so that I found a reason to use it!  Whew...one more card to add to the pile!

Look for my card linked up to these challenges as well:

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra for April:  "Anything Goes"
Merry Monday:  "Angels/Cherubs" (a snow angel counts too, right?)
Papertake Weekly:  "Anything Goes"
Crafty Calendar:  "Add a Sentiment"

Thanks again for stopping by!

Let it Snow...

But please, not here!   I don't know about any other North Eastern USA residents, but I am ready for spring weather!  I have another Christmas card to share with you all today:

This cutie pie is named Lenny.  He's from the now-closed Stamp Fairy shop.  He's been sitting around, all colored up, waiting for inspiration to strike, and for craft room time to exist!  Poor Lenny... sorry to have made you wait so long to be put on a card!

Anyway, The dp is from a pack I got at Target some time ago, and I did all the matting with dark blue card stock from the Heritage Fashion Colors value pack from The Paper Company. LOVE this dark blue, but it's hard for me to find one this dark!  Behind the matted image, I used a Frostyville Memory Box die.  I have had that idea pinned for quite some time now...yeah, we know how THAT goes sometimes...lol!

I want to link this to the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland:  "Let it Snow"
Holly Jolly:  "Feature a Creature"
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas:  "Cute and Cuddly"
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper for April:  "Cover it in patterned paper"
The Cutie Pie Challenge:  "For a Boy"
Papertake Weekly:  "Anything Goes"
Crafty Calendar:  "Add a Sentiment"

Whew, what a list!  I'm glad I found all these challenges to keep me on my toes making Christmas cards all year thru!  :)

Thanks for stopping by...

Just wanted to let you know...

For those of you who are not connected thru social media:  I was just released from the hospital today after an infection in my uterus.  I had a pretty routine ablation procedure done Wednesday, and felt perfectly fine when I went home that evening, and 1/2 of Thursday.  Then in early afternoon, I started feeling super crappy, with a fever and severe bloating/discomfort in my abdominal area.  I waited until Chad got home to take me to the ER (I had called the doctor's office twice for advice).  After waiting in the ER waiting area for about an hour (seemed like forever!), they finally took me back and gave me some drugs.  The morphine was wonderful!!  :)   It took until about 11 to decide that I was going to be staying, and then about 11:30 until I got a bed upstairs.  I've been pumped full of antibiotics since then, as well as something to keep me hydrated.

What a horrible time!  I haven't seen my kids or the dog since we left Thursday. And let me tell ya, I had to ask so many times just to take a shower!!  But other than that, the nurses were all really nice (even when they were taking blood at 6 in the morning!).    I surely hope I never have to go thru anything like THAT again!

Thanks for listening to my horror story!

HAVE A HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

ABC CHRISTMAS -- E IS FOR EMBOSSING, F IS FOR FAUX, G IS FOR GINGERBREAD

Hello crafty friends!  I'm dropping by really quickly to share what I created for this month's ABC Christmas challenge , which is ...
