I Love You!

Greetings fellow bloggers!  I'm back tonight to share with you a card that is not a Christmas card:

I know, I know.  I can't believe I made a non-Christmas card, either!  But I had this adorable Bugaboo image printed out and begging for completion, so what could I do?  I made this card to give to my 15 year-old-DD, as she needed a lift.  I hope it helped!  The layout for this card was inspired by a lovely card I found while checking out the Christmas challenge blogs I follow.  It was made by Sarah at Mallows Crafty Bits, on this post.  I hope she likes my version of her card!  For the sentiment and hearts on the card base, I dug deeeeeeeep into my desk drawer for a bag of confetti I knew was in there.  The confetti has these elements in both silver and red, but I just wanted the red for my card.  I think I need more practice in placing confetti/sequins!  Lemme see if I can find any challenges to link this up to...

Let it Snow!

Well, I don't really want any more snow...we got enough two Saturdays ago to suit me just fine!  The snow lady on this card may be wishing for more snow, however:

Isn't this so cute?  The snow person is a cut file from My Scrap Chick, found here.     My version of this file is a snow lady, and her snow duds are cut from the MME "Merry" 6x6 pad.  Her body is cut from white shimmer cardstock.  I used Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass distress inks to add depth to  my snow lady.  The hearts, her nose, and the bells on her hat are coated in Glossy Accents.  The tree paper is from the "Whimsy Christmas" 12x12 Recollections pad.  The snowflake she's trying to catch is the Lindeman Snowflake from Memory Box.  I've had that die for a good while now, and this is the first I've used it!  *Tsk, tsk*  To dress it up, I covered it in Versamark, used Ranger sticky embossing powder, and after heating that, I dumped Deco Art Glamour Dust all over it.  Here's a close up:

It looks so much better IRL, I promise!  The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink, and comes from Studio G.

Merriest Wishes: CHNC Extra DT for February

Is it really February already???  In a couple weeks, Valentine's Day will be here and gone, but I am still on my mission to make lots of Christmas cards this year!  Here is one for the cause:

This being my DT card for CHNC Extra, I used a Bugaboo image.  This one is called Flower Bears - Sunflower.  When I was looking for an image to use for this month's card, I looked at this one closely and thought..."This could pass for a poinsettia bear, if it was colored right."  So I did just that, and here he is!  I was generous with the yellow and Xmas red Stickles, although the red is harder to see.  DP is from the "Christmas" 12x12 paper pad from Recollections.  Sentiment is from Momenta, green glittery ink from Studio G. Sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #32.

Challenges:

CHN Patterned Paper for Feb:  Anything goes with some patterned paper
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #14:  Anything goes or Winter Wonderland
The Glory of Christmas #77:  Fold and cut, or anything goes
Jingle Belles:  BLING on the holidays
CHNC #266:  Anything goes for Christmas
Holly Jolly #64:  Frame it
A Snowflake's Promise #15:  Anything goes or winter
Crimbo Crackers #99:  Anythng goes
Card Mania #77:  Add some red
Simon Says WednesdayAnything goes
Create and Inspire #38:  Anything goes

Don't forget that if you join in, you can win cute Bugaboo images too!  I hope to see your creations soon!

Thanks for stopping by today, and God Bless!

Down to One Layer...

No, it isn't anywhere NEAR warm enough to be dressed in only one layer...maybe in the Southern Hemisphere, but not here in PA!  The card I'm here to share with you doesn't mind the cold temperatures, however:

My obsession with Bugaboo digi images continues with this simple card.  Here, I'm using Christmas Words - Jesus.  How could I not, when it is the truth!  Colored with Prismacolor markers, added some yellow Stickles to the star, and went over the smaller letters with a Sakura black metallic Gelly Roll pen.  DONE!

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #13:  Sketch or anything goes
Merry Monday #189:  One layer card
CHNC Extra:  Anything Christmas
The Glory of Christmas #76:  silver, gold, or anything goes
CHNC #265:  Use a sentiment
Crimbo Crackers #98:  Anything goes

Well, that's all for this evening, fellow bloggers!  May you all have a blessed week!

Christmas Blessings

I know, I know, Christmas is over, and Valentine's Day and Easter will be upon us before we know it!  I'm hoping to *maybe* sell some Christmas cards this year though, so I need to have a bunch ready!  Here is the latest one:

That gorgeous wreath image is from the Fred, She Said store, here.  I bought the pre-colored set, because Tracey's digital coloring is much better than anything I can do!  Ribbon and bling from my stash, and sentiment from PaperTrey Ink's "Signature Christmas."  Also, I used the sketch from the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up:

Challenges:

CHNC Extra DT Mid-Month Inspiration time!

Hello blogging friends!  I hope all is well in your necks of the woods.  All is well here, and the new year has started off in pretty decent shape.

Tonight, I wish to share my CHNC Extra DT mid-month inspiration card:

Isn't this just the cutest angel?  Even though we don't have to use a Bugaboo image for our mid-month card, I couldn't help but use this one!  She is Wee One - cloud, and she comes in several other configurations as well, so go check it out.  I decided I wanted to use this Silhouette card file with this image, because of the stars in both.  The sentiment, which also has some stars, is from Inkadinkado's "Warm Holiday Wishes" set.  I added some silver Stickles to the solid stars in the cut pattern as well.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #13:  Sketch or anything goes
The Glory of Christmas #75:  Easel card or anything goes
ABC Christmas:  Anything goes
Crafty Calendar:  Something new (new design team position!)
Catch the Bug:  BINGO (bow, blue and sentiment)

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!

A Merry Little Christmas

As promised, I'm back again this evening to share another Christmas card made last night:

This little kitty in a present is a Cut and Print Silhouette file that's been sitting on my desk since last year...poor kitty!  Finally he finds a home on this card, with an exceptionally appropriate dp from the Recollections Jolly Jamboree 8.5x11 paper pad.  I've been seeing this type of angle on cards for awhile now, and finally made one myself.  I think it's just awesome...it leaves the perfect spot for a sentiment!

Challenges:

CHNC Extra:  Anything goes
CHNC Patterned Paper:  Anything goes
CHNC #263:  Red
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #13:  Sketch or anything goes
The Glory of Christmas #75:  Easel card or anything goes

Thanks again for stopping by...God Bless!

Seeing red...

Good Wednesday evening folks.  I hope you are all doing well.  Here in PA last night, we saw a lot of white (all at once, it seemed!), but I was also seeing quite a bit of red...

See what I mean?  LOL!  I've had these papers and matted Bugaboo image sitting on my desk for a while now, so I decided to get them used.  I may or may not have mentioned before that Poppi Penguin is my favorite Bugaboo character, and this image is called Poppi xmas snowballs.  The dp is from the Recollections Jolly Jamboree 8.5x11 paper pad.  The bottom layer is a very subtle plaid.  Here is a close up pic:

I'm sure if you click on the pic to enlarge it, it will be easier to see!

Challenges:

CHNC Extra:  Anything goes
CHNC #263:  Red (do you think I have enough red??)
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #13:  Sketch or anything goes
The Glory of Christmas #75:  Easel card or anything goes
Holly Jolly #63:  Use patterned paper
ABC Christmas:  Anything goes
CHNC Patterned Paper:  Anything goes
Create and Inspire #37:  Anything goes

Well, I sure do appreciate you stopping by today.  Stop back soon (like in another hour, lol!)  for another post.  Until then, God bless!

BRR!

Well, it seems the temps have finally gotten winter-like here in PA, so it seems that this Christmas card will fit right in:

This Bugaboo image is called Winter Birds - Scarf.  Such an adorable birdie!  I colored her up to match my Recollections dp.  The pink cardstock is also part of that pack.  There is some glittery Stickles on the snow, and the gingham ribbon is from my stash.  The simple little sentiment is from a Studio G collection.

First Christmas card of 2016, and some exciting news!

Hmmmm, should I share my card first or my exciting news?  Lemme see, eeny, meeny, miney, moe, catch a tiger by his toe, if he hollers let him go, eeny, meeny, miney, moe!
OK, ok, you wrangled it outta me....I'm one of the newest design team members for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra!!!!!!  I'm so excited!!!  This is my first ever DT position, and I'm super honored that Hazel has chosen me for her FAB team!  I get to work with Bugaboo digis all the time too, which is an added bonus!  So I guess that leads me into sharing my card then:

Isn't this the cutest image??  It's called Meowy Christmas Cats, and can be found here.  I went super CAS with my first DT card, keeping it all one layer.  I used Prismacolor markers to color my kitty trio.  The brim and pompom of the Santa hat are decorated with white Puffy Paint, and I smeared on some Stickles after I dried it.  Spending some time looking at this card, I should probably add some ground for the kitties to sit on, instead of floating in air like that...LOL!  Poor kitties!

  Challenges:

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up:  Anything goes or optional sketch
Jingle Belles:  Something old and something new (old= Puffy Paint, new= Meowy Christmas Cats digi)
CHNC #262:  Anything goes or Vintage
Crafty Calendar:  Something New (new digi stamp)
Creative Card Crew:  Anything goes
Catch the Bug Challenge:  Anything goes
2 Creative Chicks:  Anything goes

Thanks for stopping by today...may God bless you all today, and every day in 2016!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Good day and happy Friday, bloggers!  For all of this month, I will either be getting off early on Fridays, or already be off, so you *may* be seeing some posts earlier in the day than usual.  There IS some cookie baking that needs to be done though, so we'll see how this goes!  Today however, I have a card to share with you:

This simple card was made with the One Layer Christmas Card challenge specifically in mind.  They are asking for a one layer card (as always!), with the optional theme of using a snowman.  WELL, what better way to accomplish this than with an adorable snowman digi from Bugaboo??  This one is called "Winter Snowman," and can be found here.  As I am a big fan of snowmen, this purchase was a no-brainer for me!  I sized him in my Silhouette program (which is super easy, I might add!), printed him out, and colored him up with my Bic and Prismacolor markers.  Of course, various colors of Stickles made several appearances, and look much better IRL than in my photo.  Promise!

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #12:  Optional Santa Claus theme, or anything goes
The Glory of Christmas:  Optional outdoor scene, or anything goes
CHNC Extra for December:  Anything goes
Jingle Belles:  Extra Christmas card makes
Creative Card Crew:  Cold Outside
The Cutie Pie challenge:  "Simply" cute and Christmassy
Papertake Weekly:  Anything goes
Sweet Stampin':  Sparkle and shine
Crafting for All Seasons:  #115  Brrrr, It's Cold Outside!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a good weekend, and God bless!
