Post number 2 for tonight!

Hello! As promised, I am back with another non-Christmassy card. This one features an image from Meljen's Designs, Mr. Ladybird. I was practicing my coloring again, this time using the darker end of the cool grays. I'm really not too happy with his belly, but it is done now! I blinged his wings with some Stickles, and used the Red Star Gelly Roll pen on the little hearts and dots around him. I love those Star pens from Gelly Roll! Sticking to my resolution to send more cards, this one is going overseas as well, hopefully sometime this week too. I am also entering this card into the current challenge over at Meljen's...hearts. Thanks for looking!

LOOK MA!! A Non-Christmassy card!

Haha! Believe it or not, I still can make a card that is not related to the Christmas holiday! This card was made with the most adorable kitty named Olivia, by DigiStamp Boutique. She has a brother named Archie, but I haven't printed him out...yet. I wanted to practice coloring with the Prismacolor markers I have been collecting. Olivia was colored using the lightest shades of the cool gray set. I think I did OK, but I best print out some more cutie-pie images to practice on! I haven't made this public yet, but I might as well tell you about my New Year's resolution. Don't worry, nothing Earth-shattering; I have just resolved to send out more of the cards I make, instead of hoarding them. This one will be winging its way overseas later this week. I hope the intended recipient will like it! I'll be back in a few minutes with another non-Christmassy card. WHAT!!??!!

JB12:02, Sketching thru the snow!

Good evening everyone! I hope you are all well! Here in PA, we had some cold weather
recently, but thank goodness it is "warmer" now. I'll take temps in the 30s and 40s as opposed to in the teens or 20s! Anyway, this post is to show you the card I made for the second prompt at Jingle Belles, Sketching Through the Snow. The sketch is brought to us by Kirsty Vittetoe. I had a bit of trouble with my card at first, as I had printed my image a bit bigger than usual, but then I finally made the card size I needed to accomodate it. BTW, the image is by Bugaboo. Well, I gotta get going, Idol is on! :)

JB12:01...No Time Like the Present(s)

Hello and howdy do! I hope you are all doing well and feeling well. I am doing well, but as for feeling well, not so much. Dear hubby gave me the cold he had last week...sigh. I guess that's what marriage is all about, isn't it...share and share alike! LOL

It's time again for the fabulous Jingle Belles to bring us challenges, and this one involves using wrapping paper in our projects. I have been waiting to make this card for at least a year, maybe two! I saw one similar in a group I belong to, and have wanted to make one since. Well, thanks to Stef and Lauren, now I have this one outta my system! I used a small bit of dp from a pack I've had for awhile (read as, I can't remember the name)..., and some shiny red wrapping paper for the iris folded stocking. I covered the top of the stocking with some white felt, and sponged all around it in a bright red. I used the lacy circle Spellbinder die to mat it, and added a Studio G sentiment in the upper left corner. I guess that's about it for this one...I'm looking forward to the next challenge over at Jingle Belles! Take care!
