CHNC Extra DT post, July 2017

Hey bloggers!  How ya doin?  Stopping by very quickly to schedule this post for my DT commitment for CHNC Extra...and here is my card for July:

This adorable Bugaboo image is BUGRBLOCKS.  So super cute!  As you can see, the one in the lower left corner is Rudolph...he's just hangin' out with his buddies, Donner and Blitzen!  Looks like they might be playing hide-and-seek...or maybe Rudolph and Donner are shy?  Either way, Jodie has made them really cute, and easy to color.  They were colored with alcohol markers, and Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen was added to Rudy's nose and the "M" in the sentiment.  Glossy Accents also adorns Rudy's nose, but you really have to see it in person to tell.  Speaking of that sentiment, I really like that it is included in the image.  It sure saves me some extra steps in trying to find "the right one" from my extensive stash.  That yummy paper is from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas Lawn Fawn 6x6 pad.  It was so hard to choose which paper to cut into first!!

I found this sketch on the Outlawz blog:

and thought that this image would fit just right.  I just now noticed the "with love" sentiment suggestion in the lower left corner...I hope they will be OK with mine!

Take care and God Bless!

CCAYR Mid-Month Inspiration Time Again!

Howdy friends!  It's the middle of the month again (JUNE!!!), and that means it's time for the CCAYR Christmas Belles to give you some inspiration for this month's House/Cottage theme.  Here is mine:

I decided I wanted to make this birdhouse card again, just like the one posted here.  No cardinal this time...I am having an issue with my Silhouette software not recognizing my machine on the new desktop, so I had to dig out this Studio G bird stamp.  Stamped it in Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink, and punched out a small heart.  Leandra (my DD), said that I should stamp the word "home" in the bird house opening and place the heart underneath it to convey the message that "home is where the heart is."  Pretty clever of her, I think!  Used the Martha Stewart branch punch to make something for the bird to rest on outside the house.  The woodgrain embossing folder is from Darice.  Added Snow-Tex to the roof of the birdhouse, and some holly leaves and berries for some holiday décor above the opening.
