A baby girl...

card, that is! I'm waaaaay past the time to be having any more babies! ;) This card was made at the request of one of my co-workers, who has a sister who is having a baby girl soon. Now listen to this...my co-worker has 4 sisters...she herself has a daughter, two of her sisters already each have a daughter, and now this OTHER sister is having a girl...see a pattern here? LOL I'm beginning to think all that family can make is girls! Ok, well I just had to share that interesting tidbit; now onto the card! I only have one set of baby stamps from Fiskars...it covers both boy and girl, so I figure it will be enough...for now! LOL I used three of the images from this set, and lots of pink....two pink inks, pink cardstock, DP with pink on it, and pink ric-rac. I also used one of my pink Sakura Gelly Roll pens to add some sparkle. Even wee little girls need some sparkle, right? :) I used one of my new paper crimpers for the first time...pretty cool look, I think. The sentiment is also from the baby set; I just had to mask off the part that I didn't want to use. Thanks for looking, and until my next post...TOODLES!

Another quick (last minute!!) card for...

Dustin's challenge. This elephant is so cute, I just couldn't wait to color him up! I used my Sharpies on him too, added glitter glue to the heart and splashes, and attached another heart punched out from that recycled decoration material. The sentiment is a stamp I found in the dollar bin at Michael's. OK, best get it entered before it's too late!

ETA: I'm adding two other different pics of this card, as I realized it will also qualify for Lucy's challenge 4-GLITTER!

Card for Dustin's first challenge!

Hello everyone! I am posting today to show you the card I made for Dustin's first challenge on his challenge blog. I used one of his freebies, this ADORABLE owl! And yes, it IS pink! I colored this cutie with Sharpies. The hearts are from some translucent material that I punched with my MS heart punch from some snowman decorations that got destroyed in last year's winter winds. I thought I would try and see if I could use it...I found it works well with solid image punches! :) Then I decided to see if I could color it with my Sharpies...more success!! Heehee, isn't it just so pleasing when you try something and it WORKS? Well, ANYWAY....here is my entry for the challenge...I better hurry up and get it posted now so I can enter it! TOODLES!!!

Look Ma, a two-card post! LOL

Heehee! As you can tell, I will be posting two cards today. One I had to wait until it was received before I posted it, and the other was just waiting for me to take it's picture. Ok, the first card is a birthday card I made for my good friend Carol. The gorgeous flower I used on it was created by Tracey over at Fred, She Said. If you haven't checked out her work yet, you REALLY need to! She has alot of cute and pretty things in her store, and her prices are very reasonable! And another thing I love about Tracey's work is that she offers things pre-colored! Great for a quickie card or project! Or for coloring-challenged people like myself! LOL

My second card is made with another Whimsie Doodles image. This is Kissmas Ginger. Isn't he adroable? Then again, I don't think Melyssa could make anything that ISN'T adorable, even if she tried! I colored Ginger with RoseArt pencils and baby oil. Although on the mistletoe, buttons, nose and icing, I used some of my Gelly Roll pens. In case anyone wonders, the red piece he is mounted on is a Labels Three. Well, I hope you have enjoyed my creations today! I'm glad you took the time to come visit my blog, and until my next post...TOODLES!

My second Whimsie Doodles card...

I made this for this week's Whimsie Wednesday challenge over on Paper Craft Planet. The challenge was to use a window on your card, and of course to use a Whimsie image. This image is called "This Bud's For You", and comes with this sentiment as well. Another freebie! Can you tell that I love freebies? ;) The DP is paper I bought at Target...gotta love those dollar bins right inside the door! I used my scalloped circle and regular circle Nesties to make the frame for the window, and then ran it thru my CB using the Swiss Dots EF. I attached a piece of acetate to the inside of the window as well. The heart punch is by Martha Stewart, and the sentiment is Studio G. I colored Whimsie with Rose Art colored pencils, and I punched the corners of the DP with an EK Success punch. Thanks for looking, and until my next post...TOODLES!

A Whimsie Doodle card

My first one! Isn't this image adorable? It was one of the freebies so generously given by Melyssa to members of the Whimsie Doodle group on Paper Craft Planet. I was so excited to get a snowman freebie, since I LOVE snowmen! This is also my first Christmas card for this year. I really need to commit to making probably 10 or so a month, since I depleted my supply this past holiday season! Well, until my next post... Toodles!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve last night. We went out with my BIL for some shrimp, went back to his house for a movie, then to Wal-Mart...and came back home. Lemme tell ya, I fought SO HARD to stay awake until the ball dropped! And I won! LOL Then we smooched and went to sleep...lol Romantic, huh? It didn't help that I had to work today, either. I think I will be hitting the hay a bit earlier tonight...no creativeness to show ya either, as my desk is a mess, awaiting more dowels for my ribbon holder...I will take pics to post when it is finished. I have an order of Nesties that will hopefully be winging its way here very soon...YEA!!! I'm way excited! :) Anyhow, I wish us all a blessed and happy new year! Toodles!
