This wasn't meant to be a last minute post!

Hey bloggy folks!  I was gonna have this week's card for the Merry Monday challenge posted waaaay before now, BUT I ran into problems when I embossed my sentiment (it looked like a blob), so I had to carefully disassemble and save the good parts.  I didn't get back into my room to reconstruct it until today, and THEN my computer wouldn't connect to the internet!  So we had to wait until the stuff we had cooking was done before we could head out to DD to get on the wifi.  *UGH*

Anyway, here is my card:

And here is the challenge criteria:

Such a pretty inspiration photo!  OK, so I gotta get this linked up before the deadline...see ya!

ETA:  In my haste to get this liked up at Merry Monday, I forgot all about Hazel's Christmas Extra!

And here is my card:

Well, this has gotta be short and sweet as we are headed to the baby shower soon!  Getting this linked up and hittin' the road!  Thanks for looking!

ETA:  Linking up to Hazel's Christmas extra also!  :)

Happy Saturday night folks!

I'm back once more this week, this time with a baby card.  Chad's cousin is pregnant, and her baby shower is tomorrow afternoon, so this is the card I made:

The expectant couple has chosen not to find out what they are having, so the card is in gender-neutral green.  Like my previous 2 cards, this one was CASEd from a card on Pinterest.  Gotta love that site for some awesome inspiration!  :)  I didn't have a baby sentiment that would fit in that small space, so I used a set my hubby got me several years ago that comes with a black ink pad and an applicator that you place the individual letters into.  I didn't use the applicator; I just inked up each letter as I needed it.  The cute froggie comes from a set that I don't have identified.  I wish all the greens matched in real life as well as they do in the pic!
Well, it's late, and we're going to church before the shower, so I best hit the hay.  G'nite!

The birthday cards abound!

I'm back AGAIN tonight with another birthday card, this time for my bestest friend from college who lives in NC.  Her birthday is on Friday, so this will probably get there late.  My mojo had kinda disappeared, but I *think* it's on it's way back!  Here's the card, again a shameless CASE from this card on Pinterest:

Kayln's card was just so cute, I had to CASE it!  I used Spellbinder's petite circles dies, and the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set from The Paper Company, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Super cute and easy to make!  I'd like to try it in other colors, too!  Thanks for looking!

Howdy folks!

I'm back again this evening to share another birthday card for a coworker/friend:

I CASEd this card from THIS ONE on Pinterest.  Of course, all my punches/dies/stamps were different, but otherwise it's a shameless copy.  GREAT layout, and so simple to recreate.  Thank you to natureofcraftythings for the inspiration!  :)  I have a bunch more cards to create for this week, so I better get crackin'!

I just wanted you all to know...

that I'm alive and well!  I've been working a FT and a PT job for the past 8 weeks, so I haven't had any time for blogging.  I've been trying to keep up thru emails, but not succeeding very well.  AND I have some great news:  the place where I've been working FT (thru a temp agency) has offered me a permanent position!  I'm super excited because this is a great company, and I love working there!  I'm ending the PT job this week because I just can't be so tired all the time and focus on my new job.  I think it's the right choice.  In my blogging hiatus, I have made a card for a coworkers birthday:

She said her favorite color is black, so that's what I focused on.  The layout came from THIS card on Pinterest.  I used Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to create the flower, and I colored the ends of the petals with a chocolate scented Crayola marker.  My coworker was lovin' that, I tell ya!  ;)  I also sprayed it with my black homemade shimmer spray.  My coworker was so thrilled with her card that she made a list of cards that she would like me to make for her family and friends for birthdays and Christmas!  :)

Well, it's getting late, and my bed is whispering my name (well, maybe yelling is more approprate!), so I thank you all for having a look.

Take care,

~Marie~
