Christmas With The Cuties-----Let It Snow!

Howdy crafters!  Sorry my card is so late for the challenge over at the Christmas With The Cuties blog...there was a bit of a mix-up, but all is well now!  Have a look:

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pink Gem Designs

Their images are so cute!  The one I chose to use is Chilly With Birdhouse, and I used the pre-colored version.  I love having a pre-colored version, especially when pressed for time, as I was this month!  LOL!  My sentiment comes from the Merry and Joy stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.  I was practically drooling over this stamp set when it came out, and this is the first I have ever used it!  Shameful, I know.  The cute designer paper comes from the MME Merry 6x6 pad.

Challenges:

12 Months of Christmas Link Up #40:  ATG or optional "Feline Festive" theme
Crafting by Designs:  Getting ready for Christmas
Fab 'n' Funky #391:  Christmas
The Paper Shelter #336:  Die cuts (I used Spellbinders dies to cut out my image and the mat underneath it)
Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional "jolly" twist
Happy Little Stampers:  ATG w/dies
The Cutie Pie Challenge:  Delightful Digis

Well, that is all for this evening.  Thanks so much for stopping by...if you have the time, please also stop by the Christmas With The Cuties blog and check out the other DT creations, and those of the participants!

Have a great weekend, and God Bless!

Sasayaki Glitter-----April Reminder Post

Greetings bloggers!  I hope you are all having a good week so far...Happy Hump Day!  LOL!  It's all downhill from here...

But anyway, I am here to show you what I made for the April reminder post over at the Sasayaki Glitter blog:

I apologize for the lackluster photo, but I was in a hurry to get it posted, and it was past my bedtime!  LOL!  This cutie is Elly the Elephant Dancing...isn't she adorable?  She sure looks like she is dancing like nobody is watching.  I wish I could feel more like that at times!   LOL!  The cute green checkered paper comes from the "hello sunshine" 6x6 paper pad from Doodlebug.  Although this paper was released in 2014, I just recently purchased it at Hobby Lobby, and I love it!  So cute!!  I happened to have a green card stock in a pack of brights that was a perfect match, so I went with a monochromatic look for this card.  The sentiment comes from a miscellaneous alphabet set.

Challenges:

The Cutie Pie Challenge #122:  Delightful Digis (use a digital stamp)
Sweet Stampin:  Animals
Create and Inspire #73:   ATG or optional use dies/stencils

I used the top row across for my BINGO card, the image is cut using a Spellbinders hexagon die.

CHN Patterend Paper:  ATG with patterned paper
Happy Little Stampers:  ATG with dies

Well, I must head off to bed now, so I'll sign off.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great rest of the week!

Sasayaki Glitter March Reminder Post

Hey bloggers!  Sorry this post is so late compared to the Sasayaki Glitter blog post, but I got sick with strep on Saturday, and have been down for the count ever since.  So without further delay, here is what I created:

Aren't these Winter Bunnies just so cute?  I was so glad to be able to add them to my arsenal of adorable Christmas digi stamps.  I decided to break out this cute piece of tree paper from the Gingerbread Cottage Craft Smith 6x6 paper pad, and let that determine my coloring and card stock choices.  The sentiment comes from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams stamp set.  I just thought the hand written font fit the image pretty well.  I added some sparkle to the snow with some Stickles, and used a white gel pen to add some details to the scarf of the white bunny, and to the hat of the standing bunny.

Challenges:

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up #39:  ATG or optional "beary Christmas" theme
Happy Little Stampers Christmas:  ATG or optional "reindeer" twist

Well, thanks for stopping by to visit today!  Be sure to visit the Sasayaki Glitter blog to join in the March challenge of "Friendship," and to check out everybody else's makes!  Until next time, take care and God Bless!

Sasayaki Glitter March challenge: Friendship

Hello, all and welcome to another new month in 2018!  Time is going by quickly, as usual.  Anyway, it's time again for a new challenge at the Sasayaki Glitter blog, and this month we want to see creations about Friendship.  Here is what I made for the challenge:

This adorable image is called Lucy in the Rain.  I chose this image for my card because I thought she was being friendly to the snails by offering them shelter underneath her pretty umbrella.  :)  And what goes better with rain than a rainbow?  The dp is from the 6x6 Lawn Fawn "Rainbow" paper pad.  I *hated* cutting into such pretty paper, but what good is it if I just keep it in the pack?  ;)  So, I colored up the image with alcohol markers to match the colors in that gorgeous paper, choosing to focus on yellow and purple, with a little bit of orange thrown in for good measure.  I used some yellow card stock to back the dp and make a scalloped circle for behind the image, and this card was done!

Challenges:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Mix It Up #11:  ATG or optional "make your own background" theme
Di's Digi Design:  Die cuts (Spellbinders used on my card)

Thanks for joining me this evening, and please make sure to stop by the Sasayaki Glitter challenge blog for all the challenge details!

Take care, and God Bless!

For my card, I used an angel image from Melonheadz that is part of the Nativity clip art 2012 edition set.  She is colored using alcohol markers, and I added some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to her wings.  Her halo was colored using a Pentel gold gel pen.  I used a Stampin' Up lilac ink pad to ink the edges of the image panel, and also the edges of the light purple angled panel that is underneath the snowflake paper.  The Noel sentiment comes from a Recollections set called Religious Christmas.

This image is from Sasayaki Glitter, and she is called Winter Peggy.  This card just might end up as the one I send to my friend Peggy for Christmas this year!  She prefers the color green though, so I don't know about that yet.  LOL!  The patterned paper is from the Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad from Love Nicole.  The ribbon across the middle was saved from some kind of packaging.  Peggy was colored with alcohol markers, and the red corners were sponged with Candied Apple and Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks.  The sentiment comes from the Art Impressions set called Merriest.

Sympathy card

Hello bloggers!  I'm stopping by tonight very quickly to share a sympathy card I made for a friend who lost her mother and sister-in-law on the same day.

I have had this Darice embossing folder for a little while, and this was the perfect chance to use it.  Before I embossed the paper, I blended Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and Peacock Feathers on Bristol Smooth card stock.  I found a gold leaf pen in my drawer, so I went around the edge of the panel with it.  The sentiment is embossed with Recollections gold embossing powder, which I thought matched that gold leaf pen pretty well.  I have to say, this is the first time I have dared tried blending these inks on Bristol Smooth, and I am in love!  It looks gorgeous...I can't wait to do it again!  :)

Challenges:

Mix It Up MIUCB #10:  ATG or optional CAS twist
Crafting by Designs:  February ATG
Crafty Gals Corner #158:  ATG (2nd entry)

February Sasayaki Glitter Challenge - A project for a loved one

Hello bloggy friends!  I hope you are all doing well.  I am here today to share with you a card I made for the Sasayaki Glitter challenge blog.  I have been moved over to that team from the Inspiration Team due to technical difficulties.  So anyway, here is what I made:

I made this card using Image #15 - Love.  I sized it to fit into the largest Spellbinders Heart Circles die; which is cute, but man, some parts of the image were difficult to color being so small!  LOL  Anyway, I put a piece of the dark pink card stock I wanted to use behind the die so the heart cut outs would stand out more.  The panel of heart-covered card stock comes from the same paper pack.  I added a sliver of the glitter card stock I used in my last card along the left edge of that piece, and added a sliver of the pink behind that.  I thought that the plain white base was just too boring, so I inked the edges with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide.  Oh, and my image was colored with alcohol markers.

Challenges:

Catch The Bug:  Feb ATG
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper:  Feb ATG using patterned paper
Love to Scrap LTSCB #106:  I Love You!
Mix it up MIUCB #10:  ATG or optional "Clean and simple" theme
Sweet Stampin':  Anything but a Birthday
A Gem of a Challenge #212:  Have a Heart
Outlawz Festive Friday:  Card with Hearts

Ok folks, that is all from me tonight.  I am missing the SuperBowl!  Go Eagles!
