CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES, JUNE 2019 -- SPOTS AND DOTS

Hello crafty friends!  Monday has come around again, and today wasn't a particularly great one at work.  My work bestie was off today, which means I had no one to joke around with, and the work I was doing went by too slowly.  BUT, it is another Monday in the books, as far as work is concerned, so that is good.  Now, onto something fun!

Here is the card I created for this month's Christmas With The Cuties theme, which is Spots and Dots.  The image is from All Dressed Up, and is called Snowy DaysI think he is a very well-dressed snowman, don't you?  He looks very dapper in his top hat and scarf!  Those robins evidently think he's got it going on, or they wouldn't be hanging around.  LOL  I colored the image with alcohol markers, and covered all the snow and snowballs in Stickles.  I also edged the snowman with the same Stickles.  The photo doesn't show it, but there is also some green Stickles on the cuff of the mitten and the green parts of the stocking.  I mounted the image circle onto a green scalloped circle, and centered it on the card, popping it up with foam tape.  The sentiment comes from Lawn Fawn's Winter Scripty Sentiments.

SECOND GUEST DT SPOT FOR THE OUTLAWZ TWISTED THURSDAY FOR JUNE 2019

Hey all!  I'm back again to share with you the card I made for my second guest DT spot for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz challenges:

Again, our sponsor is the Paper Nest Dolls

The optional theme this week was "Beach Babes," and we were given this adorable Sun n Fun Emma to use.  I did my best to give her a nice-looking tan, since she looks like she is a frequent beach-goer, LOL!  The image is colored with alcohol markers, and I added a thick layer of Glossy Accents to the beach ball, although I think it is hard to tell.  I might just add some simple sea gulls to the sky too, as it looks kind of bare.

I want to say that it has been great being a guest designer for the Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz this month!  I got to work with some cute images, and have my work featured along with that of some talented people.  Thank you so much for having me!  :)

CHALLENGES:

BUGABOO FREEBIE FRIDAY, 6/21/19 --- MOUSE BIG FLOWER

Howdy blogging friends!  Happy Friday!  WOOHOO!  Today is another one of our early Fridays at work, so I will get to leave (hopefully!) at 11:30.  IF I get there at 5:30, which may be a big "if."  Anyway, I want to share with you my card for Freebie Friday over at Catch the Bug:

This cutie is Mouse Big Flower, and isn't he the sweetest...offering up that gorgeous flower to you?  Awwww!  I colored him with alcohol markers, with a couple of other details, like some Wink of Stella on the dragonfly wings (not that you can see it!), and white gel pen on his eyes.  The patterned paper that you can barely see behind the image panel is from the Honeydew Craft Smith 12x12 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the Happiness Messages stamp set from Hero Arts.

CHALLENGES:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Love to Craft #35:  ATG (3/5)
Path of Positivity #70:  Encouragement (2/7)

BUGABOO NEW RELEASE TUESDAY -- US AND CANADIAN PUPS

Hello blogging friends!  Happy Monday!  (I can say that now that it's almost over!)  I hope your week has gotten off to a good start, and continues in a positive direction.  Today I want to share my card for the New Release at Bugaboo:

This is the US version of this image; there is also a Canadian version available.  I decided to make a shaped card out of this patriotic little guy, because I didn't think I had any papers that I wanted to use.  I really like how this turned out, as having the image this large (great advantage of using digi stamps!) made it easier to color.  I do have to add though, that I colored over this image several times, until I got the look I wanted.  All the coloring was done with alcohol markers, and I added some sparkle to the stars with Star Dust Stickles

CHALLENGES:

Love to Craft #35:  ATG (2/5)
Craft Rocket #60:  Summer is Coming
Digi Design:  Add Glitter/glitter glue/Liquid Pearls (2/3)
Tuesday Throwdown #433:  Shaped Cards

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Please be sure to stop over to the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other designers have made to inspire you with this new release!

Take care, and God Bless!

GUEST DESIGNER FOR TWISTED THURSDAY AT THE OUTLAWZ!

Howdy blogging friends!  Happy Thursday!  We all know what that means...tomorrow is FRIDAY!  WOOT WOOT!!  And fortunately for myself and my coworkers, it's the start of our summer hours.  We are lucky enough to get to go home 2 hours early every other Friday.  :)

But anyhow, I'm not here to talk about work, I'm here to share with you what I made as the Guest Designer for Twisted Thursday for this month:

The theme is ATG or the optional twist of BERRIES.  The sponsor of this challenge is The Paper Nest Dolls.

I chose to use Strawberry Emma for my card, and I colored her in greens with little pops of red.  The patterned papers come from the Ooh La La 6x6 pad from My Mind's Eye.  I kept the layout of the card simple and let Emma shine.  The sentiment comes from WPlus9's That is All set.

CHALLENGES:

Sweet Stampin':  ATG (2/3)
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Craft Rocket #60:  Summer is Coming
Path of Positivity #70:  Encouragement

That's all for this evening.  Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, and stop by The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and join in on the fun!

Take care and God Bless!

CCAYR JUNE 2019 --- GARLAND/LEAVES/CHRISTMAS FLOWERS

Howdy bloggers!  It's Saturday, and the weather here in PA is SO NICE!  Hubby and I spent some time walking around Gettysburg, and stopping at yard sales.  He *LOVES* yard sales!  LOL!
Anyhow, Deanne and the team at the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog want to see some garland, leaves, and/or Christmas flowers.  This should be a fun one!  Here is what I made:

I found this image in my *HUGE* pile of printed images and thought this was perfect for the challenge.  This comes from MelJens Designs.  I love her images, I wish she was still making them!  Anyway, I used a Zig pen in Pure Green to go over the branches, which turned out perfect, and colored the stars and JOY with alcohol markers.  I went over those with clear Wink of Stella also.  I wanted the image panel to be the star of the show, so I just backed it with a dark red big scalloped rectangle from Spellbinders, and embossed the card base with a folder from Momenta (I think?).  I did have some difficulty trying to emboss the card base, which is 110lb.  The left edge wouldn't emboss for me, so I covered it with a ribbon.

CHALLENGES:

Winter Wonderland:  Anything but a Square card
Crafting by Designs:  Get ready for Christmas

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  Make sure you take the time to stop by the CCAYR blog to see what my team mates have made to inspire you, and to join in on the fun!

Take care, and God Bless!

BUGABOO SATURDAY CHALLENGE JUNE 1, 2019 --- ANYTHING GOES!!

Howdy all!  I'm back again to share another card for the Catch the Bug blog.  Today we are having an Anything Goes challenge, so we want to see whatever you feel like creating and sharing with us!  Here is what I have made:

This guy hasn't been added to the new store yet, but in my files he is listed as RDBrainrain.  I have had this image colored for a LONG TIME sitting on my desk.  I would have used him sooner than this, but I really dislike the spots and stripes I had added to his umbrella when I colored him up.  The white gel pen turned yellow from the green underneath.  I have tried to "doctor it up", even using a white out pen, but it is what it is now.  The image was colored with alcohol markers, and I added some Waterfall Stickles to the rain.  The image panel was inked around the edge with Tumbled Glass Oxide ink.  All the patterned paper comes from the Doodlebug Hello Sunshine 6x6 pad.  I love this paper pad!  I decided not to add a sentiment on the outside; instead using one of the sentiments from the paper pad on the inside:

I think this could totally be used for an encouragement card!

CHALLENGES:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Di's Digi Challenge:  Add glitter/glitter glue/liquid pearls

Thanks for stopping by today, and make sure you come on over to Catch the Bug and participate in the ATG challenge...you know there's a chance to win some of Jodie's fabulous images if you do!

Take care, and God Bless!
