Home for the Holidays, Jingle Belles Style!

Jingle Belles, Home for the Holidays!  I really like this prompt from the Belles this week!  Makes me wanna sing some Perry Como!  LOL  Instead of that, how about I just show you what I made for the challenge:
Here is what the Belles had to say about what they were looking for :

 Make a card with a house on it


OR

Make a card with the word "HOME" on it

OR

Make a card that references building materials of some sort, such as wood-grain paper, a brick embossing folder, etc.
So, I guess with mine, I went for the (bird) house, and referencing the building materials (the embossing folder I can't remember the name of!)  And yes I realize that cardinals do not live in birdhouses, but I figured that was my poetic license to include whatever bird I wanted to!  :)  I got the template from the Create with Dee blog, May 2011.  My home computer won't let me link to it, so you'll have to search for it if you wanna get it for yourself...sorry!

 Well, I need to hit the sack!  Tomorrow is truck day at work, and I am tired!  Nite!

    What a fantastic shaped card, Marie! I agree with you about poetic license and I love your bright red cardinal!!

    i think *ANY* bird would be THRILLED to spend the holidays in such a divinely lovely house! cardinals or ANYONE else for that matter! and i definitely feel sure that ALL HUMANS would love to see such a card in their mailbox! always pleased to see you at JINGLE BELLES, miss marie! ♥♥♥

    Aren't you clever ... what a fun take on the *house* theme ... and I love that sweet little bird and embossed *siding* on the house ... so very glad you joined us at jingle belles.
