Merry Monday #39...on Thursday! :)

Hello my fellow bloggy people!  I hope everyone is well, and those in Sandy's path are OK.  We didn't get it as bad as they had been making it sound.  Our power went out at 7pm, and came back on at 7:20pm.  We had flashlights at the ready though, and the girls got in a game or two of Jenga.   My thoughts go out to those more directly hit.
Well, as my title suggests, I'm here to share with you my Merry Monday #39 card:

I decided to be pretty monochromtaic with this one, starting with a kraft base.  The next layer is from a small pack of glitter paper I got at an outlet store.  The sheet music piece is from an old church hymnal we got at a sale, which I distressed with my scissors and Antique Linen DI.  Then a snippet of lace dyed with AL as well, and my embellie piece is all distressed too.  The stamp is from an Inkadinkado set called O, Holy Night, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.
I suppose that's really all I can say about my card today.  When we go to my in-law's to use their hi-speed interent later this evening, I will be commenting on all the fabulous entries for this challenge!
Take care until next time!  :)

  7. This is such a wonderful card with the lace and sheet music background! I wish I had someone at home to play Jenga with! My DH hates games, and the kids are grown and gone, but I always loved playing that game with them :)

  10. I love your use of the hymnal page and the distressing you added is just perfect. The monochromatic look is fabulous and the image is so beautiful. I'm going to see if I can hunt down some hymn books so I can have some music on hand. Such a great idea! Thank you for the inspiration. :)
