"Text me" at Jingle Belles!

I love those ladies over at Jingle Belles!  Stef and Lauren come up with the cleverest prompts and ways to present them!  :)  This time they want us to focus on "text."  In this day and age, that is something most of us do a lot of!  Here's my card:

I used the thesaurus I bought last year at Goodwill to die cut my beloved Spellbinders poinsettia set.  I cut two of each size to make my flower more full, since the paper is thin.  I used Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn to color the petals and leaves, and added three gold gems in the center.  I used a leftover piece of the burlap I used to make THIS flower as a backing for my poinsettia, and placed a doily half underneath that.  I inked the edges of the kraft card with Tea Dye ink, and the sentiment is from Studio G and stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy.

That's all for this post, but I'll be back in a bit to share a baby card I made for a coworker.  Hope to see you then!

  1. what a great idea to use an old thesaurus for your beautiful flower! looks great

  2. holy mackeral! what a brilliant take on texty goodness for our JINGLE BELLES prompt! i love every single thing about this, marie... from the texty flower (which soooo totally ROCKS) to the burlap, to that gorgeous doily... ok, i did SAY every single thing, i guess i can stop listing them now! :) :) :)

  3. Wow! All that text and so beautifully done.

  4. That texty poinsettia is amazing ... love the ink and dimension ... and the texture of the burlap off-sets it perfectly ... so glad you joined our texty celebration at jingle belles.
