Hey all! I am a bit behind in getting this post up, but I still wanted to share with you what I created for the CCAYR "Anything but a card" challenge:
I decided on an ornament for my non-card project, and for this one, I went waaaay back to an old technique. I recently bought 3 packs of pretty German napkins for $.25 apiece, so I did some YouTube research, and found a few videos to go by. I adhered the napkin to my chipboard die cut Spellbinders ornament using an adhesive sheet, smooshed Versamark ink all over it and sprinkled sticky embossing powder on top and heat set. Then I sprinkled some DecoArt Glamour Dust glitter on top of that, and heat set it again. This ornament is SUPER DUPER SPARKLEY!!!! LOL! As I always do when making these ornaments, I cut a piece of gold shiny paper for the top of the ornament, and also used the same gold paper for the top layer of the sentiment. To cover up the ugly back, I die cut a piece of sparkly white paper and glued that on. I used my Crop-a-dile to make the hole, and then used some gold ribbon from my stash for the hanger.
