BUGABOO NEW RELEASE, FLOWER POT PEEKER

Hello blogger friends!  It's that time of the week again, where Bugaboo releases a new cutie patootie image.  Here is the card I created for this week:

This adorable image is called Flower Pot Peeker.  Isn't she sweet?  I made this for a friend's birthday, and she loves purple, so that is the direction I went with the coloring.  I did add some pops of green with the leaves and her hair bow.  The purple card stock was embossed with the Large Petal folder from Darice.  The Martha Stewart punch butterflies were cut from a purple credit card offer envelope that has a rainbow sheen to it.  I added a small pearl from my stash to the center of each butterfly, and curved the wings upward.  My friend really liked the card, and she even gave me a hug!

CHALLENGES:

Digi Design challenge:  Spring Flowers
Cute Card Thursday #579:  Brads, Sequins, or Gems
Papercraft Challenges #36:  For Women and Girls

BUGABOO HUMOR ME WEDNESDAY -- HUSBAND APPRECIATION DAY

Hey crafty people!  How is your week going so far?  I hope you are carving out some crafty time for yourselves!

I'm here today to share with you the card I created for Husband Appreciation Day, which was on April 21st.

I was in a bit of a dilemma as to what image to use to show my husband that I appreciate him.  Then I came across this little guy, which is Fat Mice - FlowerI wouldn't ordinarily give my hubby flowers, but this is a pretty cute way to do that.  Here is what I stamped on the inside, using Honey Bee stamps.

I used Faded Jeans Distress Oxide for my stamping, and I also used it to sponge the front of my card.  The patterned circles were die cut from a tissue box.  The chubby guy was colored with alcohol markers.

CHALLENGES:

Love to Craft #33:  ATG (4/5)
Digi Design Challenge:  Spring Flowers
Sweet Stampin':  Recycled elements or ATG
Simon Says Monday:  Going around in Circles

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today.  Please pop on over to the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other designers have made for your inspiration.  ETA:  There was no blog post made for this week.  My apologies for the mix up!

Take care, and God Bless!

CHRISTMAS WITH THE CUTIES --- FEATURE A CREATURE, APRIL 2019

Hello bloggers, how's it goin'?  I think Spring has finally arrived here in PA...HOORAY!  It's about flippin' time!  Now, hopefully this spring and summer will not be anywhere near as rainy as last year was...we can only hope!

Anyway, I know you aren't here to see me complain about the weather, so how about looking at a Christmas card instead?

I made this card for the current challenge we are having over at the Christmas With The Cuties blog, which is FEATURE A CREATURE.  This month, we are being sponsored by

I  absolutely ADORE Bugaboo images, and thanks to Jodie's generosity in giving out freebies every Friday, I have a plethora of them to choose from!  It just so happens that this cute little Polar Bear is one of my favorites!

I decided on a blue and white color scheme for this card design, and I used another sheet of patterned paper from the Northern Lights 12x12 pad from Recollections.  I believe I have mentioned before how much I love this paper pad!  I colored the image (what little coloring there was!) with alcohol markers, and used Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies to cut the image panel and layers.  I had a hankering to add some ribbon to this card too, which is something I haven't done for awhile.  The wider white ribbon was too plain on it's own, and the thinner iridescent ribbon was too narrow, so I solved that problem by layering the 2 together.

To match the whimsical feeling of the image, I used a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Winter Scripty Sentiments set.  Distress Oxide ink in Salty Ocean was used for stamping.

CHALLENGES:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #52:  ATG or option to use fairies
Christmas at Sweet Stampin':  ATG or optional Monochromatic theme
Fab 'n' Funky #436:  Christmas
Sparkles Christmas #93:  Feature a Creature
Winter Wonderland:  Cute Christmas

HOLY CRAP, I FORGOT.....CCAYR MID-MONTH INSPIRATION POST, APRIL 2019

I totally zoned out and forgot to make a blog post to share my Christmas Crafts All Year Round  project for our current challenge FAMILY AND FRIENDS!  Sorry to Deanne and my teamies for being forgetful!  Here is what I did:

My card features the Snowmen Family image from Bugaboo, and I colored it using alcohol markers in a blue and green color scheme.  I was attempting to match the patterned paper I used from the Northern Lights 12x12 Recollections pad.  Are you at all surprised that I used some of this paper pad again?  LOL!  I really should have gotten more than one!  I used some white puffy paint on the brims of the young snowmen's hats, and added Star Dust Stickles to all of the snowmen, and all of the snow on the image.  The sentiment comes form Lawn Fawn's Winter Scripty Sentiments (again!), and is stamped in Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink (I'm pretty sure...maybe I should write some of this stuff down!).

CHALLENGES:

Christmas at Sweet Stampin':  ATG or optional monochromatic
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #52:  ATG or optional twist, fairies
CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
The Holly and Ivy #47:  ATG Christmas
Christmas Kickstart #8:  Frosty and Friends (snowmen)
Winter Wonderland:  Cute Christmas
CHNC #433:  ATG Christmas

BUAGBOO NEW RELEASE DAY -- APRIL 16, 2019

Hey everyone!  I'm popping in here really quick tonight to share the card I just made for the new release at Bugaboo this week:

This image is called Deacon Skull FlowerIsn't he cute?  I colored him in my husband's favorite colors, because I think he will get this card when he least expects it...heh heh heh.  I grabbed some miscellaneous patterned paper from my stash and placed it all wonky behind my image panel.  I figured that Deacon wouldn't want things all perfect, ya know?  I pondered a bit over what sentiment to use, and finally decided on these dies from the Tim Holtz Celebration Words collection.  I cut them each 3 times from the red card stock to give them some dimension.

CHALLENGES:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Craft Rocket #58:  For Men/Boys
Crafty Sentiments:  Just for the Boys

Thanks for stopping by, and please stop on over to the Catch The Bug blog to see what some of the design team has made for the new release!

Take care, and God Bless!

BUGABOO OLDIE BUT GOODIE DAY, APRIL 11, 2019

Hey all!  How's it going?    Things in my neck of the woods are pretty OK; I do have a cold though, which brings me down a bit.  Funny thing is, I feel worse when I'm at work...wonder why that is?  ;)  LOL

I do have some awesome news though.  Do you remember last month when I was a guest designer for Bugaboo's Catch The Bug blog?  I had a blast joining the team, using those Bugaboo images I love so much.  Well, they asked me if I wanted to stay on as a full time design team member!!  Of course, I said "YES!!"  WOOT WOOT!!  So, that is why I am sharing this card today!

My card uses the super cute Happy birthday to ewe image, which also comes with a sentiment (not used on this card.)  I have a DCWV 12x12 pad called Confetti that I pulled this paper from, and colored my image to match.  A textured cardstock in a pale yellow is behind the patterned paper, the sentiment panel (which is from the paper pad), and I also cut a scalloped circle from it to mount behind the image circle.  I recently acquired this cute little stitched balloon and flower die in a swap, so I happily added 3 balloons from more textured cardstock, each with it's own whimiscal string.  :)

CHALLENGES:

CHN Patterned Paper:  ATG using patterned paper
Moving Along With The Times #95:  That Spring Feeling!
Kitty Bee Designs #140:  Easter (not necessarily Easter-themed, but something to do with Easter)
Sweet Stampin':  Mellow Yellow or ATG
Simon Says Monday:  Down on the Farm
Crafty Sentiments:  Only for the Girls

Thanks so much for joining me today!  I hope you have liked my card, and if you haven't already, pop over to the Catch The Bug blog to see what the other DT members have made for today's Oldie But Goodie post.  I promise you won't regret it!

Take care, and God Bless!
