Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog! It's a new year, and a new decade! I have a feeling that this year is gonna be a great one! I don't know WHY I feel this way; maybe it's just the excitement of a new decade starting that has me all hyped up. Anyway, it's the beginning of the month, which means another brand new challenge at CCAYR, and this time it's Anything Goes! Here is what I made:
As is my usual, I was scrambling around last minute to make this card. I had saved a scrap of this cute wrapping paper from a roll a few years ago, and had it sitting on my cart, so I thought "this should make for a pretty quick card!" I was right, it did. I used some double sided tape to adhere it to some GP card stock for a sturdier piece, then I cut a Spellbinders Lacey Square to mat behind it. This was too big to put on a regular A2 sized base, so I used a 5.5 x 5.5 inch square base. I cut a piece of Recollections red foil card stock to cover all but a smidge of the card base, and adhered the image panel with Dollar Tree foam squares. The Tim Holtz Believe die cut was cut from Recollections gold foil card stock, and also twice from 110 lb. Recollections card stock. These were stacked up for added dimension with Tombow glue, and I also stuck it to the red foil piece with the same glue. That glue is definitely tricky to use with any kind of foil or wrapping paper, that's for sure! I have some boogered up areas on both, but hopefully I was able to clear them up a bit.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to repurpose wrapping paper. Sometimes, after wrapping gifts you're left with little bits and pieces that you can't to much with. I keep them to make cards :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
