Hey friends, Happy Holidays! It's getting down to the wire now when it comes to making cards or gifts for the holidays. How is your stash? I have yet to count how many cards I have ready, but when it comes to handmade gifts, I really don't make that many. If you are in need of some gift making inspiration, this month's Christmas Crafts All Year Round challenge is for you! Our theme this month is: No Cards, Make a Gift. Here is what I made:
I decided to make some ornaments to give as gifts. The stamps I used are from Tim Holtz/Stamper's Anonymous and they are from the Carved Christmas 3 set. These stamps are really cute, and I want to get the other sets in the collection. I stamped them using Moonlight White pigment ink, and then heat embossed them with Recollections Snow detail embossing powder. I inked the edges of the red card stock with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink, and the green card stock with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink. I gave each ornament a gold foil card stock mat, and also cut several layers of that shape out of plain white card stock for stability, and to sandwich the ribbon hanger in between. The more square-shaped ornaments were die cut using Spellbinders Labels One and Scalloped Labels One. The sleigh ornament was die cut using Labels 8.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the monochromatic look. As tags they'd work well with any wrapping paper too.
