Hello my friends, and welcome back to my blog! Today's post is all about birthdays and woodland animals, because that is the theme for Bugaboo's 11th Birthday Bash! We will be celebrating all week long with lots of projects using Jodie's adorable images pertaining to woodland critters. Here is what I made for today:
I created a slimline card again...I am really loving this style! This one is pretty simple, with just the scalloped layer and the image layer on the card base. I inked the edges of the scalloped layer with Mermaid Lagoon Oxide ink, and then used alcohol markers to color the image to coordinate. Both of these layers were designed and cut using my Silhouette Cameo. The adorable image is Mouse - Candle. To give him some personality, I added white dots to his eyes, and Glossy Accents to his nose. When that dries, I will go over the white dot on the image with white gel pen to bring it back to prominence. The sentiment is from That Is All from WPlus9, and I stamped it with my MISTI using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. The sequins are from a Christmas pack I got from Michael's. Oh yeah, and the silver stripes (which are hard to see!) on the candle were colored using a silver Sharpie marker.
