BUGABOO HUMOR ME WEDNESDAY -- NUT DAY (10/22) -- OCTOBER 21, 2020

Hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today is Wednesday, which means another edition of Humor Me Wednesday at the Catch the Bug blog!  And, according to reliable sources, tomorrow is Nut Day!  I happen to know quite a few nuts...oh wait, I think this is referring to the kind that you eat!  HAHAHA!!!  Anyway, here is my card for the occasion:

For my card, I used the Goofy Squirrel image, and did some creative embellishing using the Silhouette program to make a scene out of it.  Let me tell you, it took a LONG TIME to get it right, but I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! 😍😍😍 I made a bunch of masks for the images so I could ink blend the grass and sky areas.  I used the cloud/grass stencil from the Create and Inkspire July 2020 kit to do the sky, and a little bit on the grass.  I used Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Oxide inks, and Taylored Expressions blender brushes for my blending.  I don't do the masking technique often, but WOW, was this a fun one to reveal!  I was just hoping that I didn't mess up on the coloring after all that work! 😒
The image is colored with my usual alcohol markers in warm grays and browns.  I added white gel pen details all over the place.  The sentiment comes from the Let's Go Nuts stamp set from Lawn Fawn, stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and the MISTI.  I also stamped on the inside:

SO CUTE with that little acorn! 😍  This card would be perfect for a birthday, or to go along with a girls night out gift.  Here's a few more pics:
